What Writers/Directors would you like to see create a series or movie?

DragonGnomes

Lieutenant
Red Shirt
So my TOP pick (besides RTD of course lol) would be the incomparable writing/direction duo of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk! these guys come outta the gate firing... I only recently learn't they are responsible for Glee lol (it was ok but I cant stand teen shit tbh, hated being one lol, more so now lol but Murphy did Popular which was ok also but he also did Nip/Tuck which i loved....). When they team up tho! AHS greats and hates lol but omg mind twisting glory right? lol same with Scream Quenns~ great laugh too lol.... BUT the main reason I say this is 9-1-1 & 9-1-1: Lone Star. Besides brilliant actors (2 of my girl crushes lol Ange & Liv lol) they are just my fave outta all the procedural type shows as of 4 days ago lol.... have u seen the Tsunami in Santa Monica Pier episode? lol... any anything that puts Rob Lowe on my screen lmao!!

Any thoughts on Tarantino? I totes LOLed hard when dad told me but then I had intriguing thought of Tarantino and the Klingon bahahaha OMG right?

I think, need & want Stephen King & Joss Whedon to team up on something hehehe how awse could thier creation be... but a Trek?

Peter Jackson most def but he'd need a trilogy at the least lol

Last but not least, Chris Carter still around? lol X-Files 4Evs&7

Hope I didn't get me first post wrong but I literally had this & is Starfleet an Armed Force? convo with myself last night lol and it prompted me to search out and I found you guys!

PEACE, LOVE & TREES!!

& SPACE..... lol

Welcome aboard!

I am a fan of many of the shows and people you just mentioned. (I think NIP/TUCK is Ryan Murphy's best series. As a horror fan, I loved SCREAMS QUEENS and love AMERICAN HORROR STORY, though I feel the best seasons were 1-5 and 1984.)

Loved THE X-FILES, but didn't think the two short return seasons were that great. (Though the Darin Morgan written episodes were fantastic... just like the ones he wrote in the 90s. HE is someone I'd like see develop a series.) I think one of the reasons it didn't work as well is because its time has kind of come and gone... and we had FRINGE only a couple years before that.

(If you have not seen FRINGE, I highly recommend it. There's a lot of THE X-FILES that's baked into its dna.)

Thinking further, and looking at some of the people you mentioned, I'd like to see a true horror themed STAR TREK series. TNG, I feel, did horror and creepy the best out of all the shows. Maybe even have something of a revolving door of horror writers or directors do some one off stories set in the STAR TREK world. (Sort of like MASTERS OF HORROR, but with STAR TREK.)

Good to have you aboard!

hey... i was pondering this.... what if,,,, Mr Stephen King did one???? new creature of hus own making...... muwhahaha

TREK's level of fame is high, yet Stephen King is astronomical himself.....I doubt he would fine time to do it.
Too many other apples on his plate. It would be like having Obama writing a best-seller all about the POLICE ACADEMY series, though no offense to that.
