No, seriously, I don't really care, especially since the indications are that they're only going to be in the film the way they were in TSFS... as an incidental background shot, having nothing to do with the story or the main characters.

I'd be pissed, unless they're a seriously upgraded CGI version. The TOS versions were sucky. Though a cute idea, kinda.

As long as they are just seen in some background shot or so, and are not part of the plot in any way, I'd find it funny.

I agree with Space Janitor.
I think it would be fine (and even fun) to see them in a background shot, such as in an alien city's marketplace in a vendor's cage. Don't show them close-up, just in the background as our heros are walking through the marketplace.

Tribbles in Trek XI would be all I'd need to boycott this movie. No one knew about Tribbles until The Tribble With Tribbles. That's part of continuity canon.

'We' did not know about them before TTWT but that doesn't mean they did not exist, within the Trekverse, before that.
