What would you have in your ready room?

Saspearia

Lieutenant
Red Shirt
I was looking at Captain Picard's ready room last night, he likes to change some of the decorate items occasionally and it got me thinking, what would I have in my ready room if I were the captain on a starship?

I'd probably have:
A horgon (hehe!)
a batleth on the wall
A book on display like Picard has...maybe a Mark Twain?
And a big picture of my starship, which I will ask my senior staff to sign!

What would you have? Would it be all 24th century stuff or some things to remind you of home?

I like the fish and the Book on desplay (Book of Mormon in my case)

But I would also have something odd, like say a Jem'hadar skull. And some artwork, but not something spaced based, perhaps a Hologram projector which changes the artwork daily.

I'd have a small shelf of books I could refer to, either for relaxation or inspiration.

Weight bench and a full set of weights: I can get some thinking done while I'm working out.

And some holograms on the wall of places I've been.

On the flip side, I'd love to see a ready room with an ego wall--you know, one of those walls that's absolutely covered in photos of the person whose office it is shaking hands with politicians and business leaders. That would be really funny.

Hmmm... Lets see... Some pictures of nebulae or something. A gold model of the ship I'm serving on. Pictures of ships I've served on in the past. A pet cat. A bookshelf containing my favorite books. Maybe a Phaser rifle or two on the wall.

No pictures of outer space. I could just look out the window.

Photos of my family. Model of my first comand. My diploma from the Academy.

A collection of porn in a folder called " Rough Draft "

Actually, I dunno. Ship figures? Pictures? Stuff highlighting my career?

Wouldn't having a skull of a sentient being not create the wrong impression for a representative of Starfleet, I mean they aren't barbarians?

Anyway I'd probably have a TV with a DVD player and a small collection of my favourite DVD's, I'd also put in a recliner chair and install some holemitters for whatever I fancy.

- A glass case featuring small replicas of the St. Louis Arch and the Spirit of St. Louis airplane.

- A chrome-plated model of a Galaxy-class starship on a display stand

- A dragon head katana with a faux ivory handle like the ones used in the Highlander films and TV show hanging on the wall behind my desk.

my alter-ego captain in my fan-fic has a wall covered in 2D images of: him and the E-D senior staff, him and the DS9 senior staff, the various iteration of the Special Ops team he leads, him and his father and grandfather at his graduation. he also had a large wall painting of his ship.

original poster of 2001 (with the clipper and wheel)
B&O 3000 + CDs (just for aesthetic/tactile element)
bust of Wagner
bigger fish tank
family photos
NO SHIPS OF THE LINE (I'm in one - put them in Ten Forward)

Definitely no ship paintings for me.

Though in my office right now I have mostly renderings of casinos and book posters, so if I worked in space maybe I'd have space-related stuff.

Never claimed I was starfleet material :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

A massage bed with a personal EMH Masseuse. What captain doesn't need a massage in the middle of a battle with the borg?

Build the Ready Room in a Holodeck. That way I could be ANYWHERE

I want a ready room that looks like the "apartment scene" of Mission: Impossible. I want to hand out assignments and discuss the plan there.
