Art. Lots and lots of art. Earth art, art done by friends, alien art. All over the walls. On the shelves, a few beloved books, some plants (which I don't have in my house but I would imagine it would have great meaning in space).

Good question. I never gave it much thought because I never wanted to be captain of a ship (I always wanted to be an engineer).

I guess, wow, I guess I would have a painting by Peter Max hanging on the wall behind me because he is my favorite artist. My favorite book would have to be "Walden" by Thoreau and I guess the stuff on my desk would be things my crew members gave me for my birthday or Christmas or some holiday like that.

I would definately have photos of my crew on the wall from various celebrations and parties we held on board.
