What Would You Do During Your Off-Duty Hours Aboard The Enterprise?

Re: What Would You Do During Your Off-Duty Hours Aboard The Enterprise

I'd find out if this cutie was single:

If she was, I'd awkwardly ask her if she wanted to hang out together in the rec room.

If she wasn't, I'd go back to my quarters and bemoan my fate.
You might find yourself suddenly quarantined by Dr. McCoy. ;)

Watch old episodes of MST3K... TV's Frank is timeless!

Challenge Spock to a game of Kal-toh. :vulcan:

The FASA STRPG discusses that crewmembers with specific skills and knowledge get special duty rotas so they can teach others.

Sorry to be boring but I would be taking a course in whatever skills make me the most eligible for landing party duty. More chance of getting of the ship to really explore strange new worlds close up.

Unless I was a redshirt, of course!

I'd hang out in one of those windowless little rec rooms and pretend like I was having fun.

Or I'd take long walks through the ship to avoid hanging out in one of those windowless little rec rooms and pretending like I was having fun.

I'm a reader and game player by nature, so if those datapads are anything like our modern-day tablets you'll see one glued to my hand at off-hours. Otherwise it's off to the proto-holodeck I go. (Much as I wish I could say otherwise, I'd probably be no better with 23rd century ladies than I am with 21st. C'est la vie - friend-zoned forever.)

Stargazing out windows or at Stellar Cartography would be a once-in-a-while thing, if there was really something cool out there to see. If they have any kind of theatrical group among the crew, I wouldn't mind joining in and performing in plays in the gymnasium. Or moderate some kind of debate program where Spock and McCoy (or any other crew members who wanted to join in) square off on galactic events of the week.

Logging on to the interstellar-net, reading message boards and fantasizing about having a 9 to 5 job on 21st century Earth.

I found Scotty's vodka stash in the other nacelle pylon. Port side, just below the lower darkened window. Which is the safety lock out hatch. It's a radiation hazard beyond. He's got the stash next to a liquid hydrogen inlet conduit that goes from the matter collector down into the deuterium storage tanks in the Engineering section. It's a nice cold cozy hideout. The whiskey is in the same location in the starboard pylon.
I found an agreeable (easy) blonde yeoman down in Shuttlebay maintenance that's interested. The shuttlebay can be a fun place after hours if you are a little plastered and the gravity is turned off.

Wasn't there a Star Trek novel either "Enterprise" or "First Mission" where they had an injured alien horse on board. And to help nurse it back to health they put down some dirt in the Hangar Bay and planted grass. And he grazed around down there until he got stronger. And he had wings. So they turned down the gravity and the horse was able to fly around the Hangar Bay. Trippy stuff.

If that horse was in there during "The Enemy Within," that would explain why they didn't bring up using the shuttlecraft...."The landing party is expendable, the horse isn't!"

Geez. What do girls do for recreation on the starship Enterprise? I guess I could sew or I could start a tennis group with fellow lady crew personnel.
