What would be your sucide song?

Probably Shivers by The Screaming Jets, which is a cover of The Boys Next Door song.

There is a name I have not heard in a long time. I saw that band in the early 90s in the UK around the time they released Tear of Thought.

Haven't listened to that in a long time either.

I don't really find anything funny about suicide. I know a few people who have done it and it's nothing to laugh at. Someone here might be depressed, see this thread and who knows what they will decide to do.

I just don't get why the playful flirting/sexual aspect of the forum is shunned upon yet we can talk about suicide as if it's a joke.

I'm not offended or anything by the subject title and I can see that it wasn't meant to be done in a harmful way but it confuses me how if I say something of sexual nature, it's a no no but giving an encouraging thought about suicide, a serious subject that may be on the mind of a fellow poster, is okay.

Pretty dark topic, but it's something I don't think I have every heard anyone ever talk about before. Which to me, makes it a great topic. Anytime you can find a topic that comes close to being orginal it works for me.

Anyways the idea was inspired partly by how I would kill myself, if I ever did it. i would go off to some secluded place and take sleeping pills in my truck and go to sleep listening to music. Then it occured to me, I don't think I ever really thought about what song I would pick.

Also it's okay if you don't think you would every kill yourself or anythingl ike that. The idea is to find the song that just isn't sad but sort of reflects your soul as well.

Anyways the few songs I can think of would be
Kansas=Dust in the Wind
Jason

I'm too strong-willed to ever consider suicide, never mind a suicide song.
Must you "kill" all the joy in the suicide song thread??

I agree with you about the weirdness of sexual taboos. But I don't think anything in this Thread encourages suicide; since I, too, have known people who committed suicide, I wouldn't approve of that. If anything, maybe somebody who is depressed will read this and realize that if we can joke about suicide, maybe life itself is too important to be taken so seriously. :)

I'll go with the idea of a "death" song instead, as a final song, regardless of the means of my death. I have to admit, after seeing the finale to Cowboy Bebop, the song "][/B]Blue" seems to be a good final song.

Then of course, there's The Galaxy Song which worked pretty well in convincing Mrs. Brown to give up her life, so there would be a precedent if I were to choose that one.

Either Another one Bites the Dust or Who Wants to Live Forever, both by Queen.

Maybe Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd, but then again, the guitar solo might just give me reason to live. So that won't work.

Remember it is better to use the old style barbiturates if you can. The newer sleeping pills like Ambien you'd have to take a lot and probably down them with alcohol.

It only took six Ambien to kill the Joker. Granted, there were a couple of other things in there with it.

I would watch all the Star Treks ever made back-to-back season-to-season and slowly drink myself to death. If I woke up, I would keep trying the next day.

Oh god... I think I may be doing this right now ;)

Depends how really.

If I was to do it by pills/booze/falling asleep then it would have to be Minstrel Boy

Any other way then Scottish Soldier (Green Hills of Tyrol)
