What will you do to celebrate St. Patrick's Day?

I don't know but I'm not going to a pub. I did that a few years ago, that was too crowded. The fact that there was a rugby match against Scotland this day didn't help too ;)

btw - what's with eating corned beef for StP's day? I haven't ever particularly connected that with Ireland before.

It's actually not Irish- It became an American tradition because for Irish-Amercan immigrants, corned beef was cheaper and easier to prepare than their traditional Irish stews. You can thank their Jewish-American neighbors and their delis for that!

That makes sense!

Who doesn't love a good schmear?

I've got a very small amount of Irish in me from my mom's side. About a pint of Guinness worth. Eh, maybe two pints.

It will be my 30th birthday this year, so I really don't know. Most stock answers wouldn't apply to me, since I don't know how busy I'll be from one day to the next.
