What will you do to celebrate St. Patrick's Day?

the drinking can wait until Easter, when the Mets will be mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

Mr. Met was doing ok for a while, but I caught him huffing cat pee the other day, so I sent him back to rehab.

I simultaneously :guffaw: :guffaw: 'd and :( :wah: 'd at that....

As for St. Pat's day: I'm not Irish, and I don't do parties, so nothing. I will probably have to work anyway.

I'll be doing the same thing I do on any Wednesday night...I'll be sitting in class listening to a federal judge lecture on civil procedure.

Nothing, because I'll be taking care of my mom after she has eye surgery.
Will probably at least have corned beef and cabbage for dinner, though.

Best wishes for your Mom, the drinking can wait until Easter, when the Mets will be mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

Cat pee? He really has a problem then...

Screech the Eagle has already run out of glue to sniff, and I'm not buying him any more. Nats, Mets...Is it NFL season yet?

Since my dart team (which normally plays on Wednesdays) has a bye, we decided to all go to St. Paul and watch the parade. I haven't done that in years.

I plan to have a few tasty Black and Blues.

I want.

Go to work, and then hopefully do the whole corn beef thing during the weekend, unless something good happens and we do it the night of.

Drinking beer ... What else would any good Irishman do? (I'm of Irish decent)

Q2UnME

Apparently nothing! I asked mr trampledamage (fine Irishman that he is) if there was anything in particular the Irish do for StP's day because the mums at school were asking if we were doing anything. He said "get drunk". But I can't exactly share that with the Kindergarten class!

Not have any snakes in my apartment.

:guffaw: Nice one!

btw - what's with eating corned beef for StP's day? I haven't ever particularly connected that with Ireland before.

I'll be staying home where it's safe. But I'll drink some beer and eat entirely too much corned beef and cabbage.

I suppose I'll wear something green. Probably no more than that.

<---Already in the mood

I probably won't wear green. As I said, not Irish.
(Plus, my work clothes are red and black.)

And if anyone pinches me, they get beaten like a rented mule.

Although, my car is green. So I guess that counts. ;)

This is the first St. Patty's Day that I won't be bartending, and I'm perfectly okay with that. Last year my hands were dyed green from all the food coloring we put in the beer.

Our little town celebrates St Patty's Day on Sunday with a big parade. All of the schools have their bands march and play. The town paints a green line down the middle of the main street where the parade goes. Every friggin' parking lot is a party. Everywhere you look are kegs and people drinking. The cops just park out in the middle of it to make sure there are no fights or anything too crazy.

When i say people drink everywhere, i mean it. Last year i went to the stupormarket and there were people shopping with big red cups of beer.

Quite frankly, i hate it. I cannot wait for the day to be over. I abhor the fact that the schools are involved. I hate everything about the day. It's like the friggin "Red Hour" from Star Trek. Only it lasts all day.

I know i sound like an old fart, but i really really hate St Patty's Day in this town.

You should go to Ireland - seriously, compared to your town Dublin's going to be sedate on StP's day!

I'll go to a Bar after work and drink. Hummm, but that's normal for me so...nothing?

Who the heck drinks a little on St. Patricks day anyway? That's like giving a pencil to someone as a christmas gift.

My drinking days are long since passed. And even then, I always drank alone. Never did do the party thing.

As for St. Pat's: I don't think I'd do it even if I *was* Irish. I can't stand Guinness, for example. Vile stuff. It's like drinking old, rancid coffee. I'd never make it in Ireland.

I will go to the gym and then go out with some friends: drink a couple of Guinness, have a bit of fun. May wear something green if the mood strikes me.

I like St Patrick's Day, always a lot of people having fun in my town, even if the only Irish people are some of exchange students. Well, I guess every excuse to have fun is a good one. :D
