what will the consoles on the new bridge look like?

This new 2017 TV series being Trek there will be a ship and there will be a bridge.
What will the consoles look like?
Will they be similar to Star Trek 2009 feature film or more like VOY? Sure depending on which decade/century the show is set in should determine the look this will take. Any ideas?

I'd want to say holographic, semi transparent and floating, for something really fancy, plausible and different. At the same time though, you'd lose the exploding consoles during combat not to mention the increased effects cost. Really at the end of the day, it doesn't matter at all. No one, and I mean no one cared what the aesthetic of the technicology (specifically) looked like in guardians of the galaxy and star wars for example. Take the expanse for example (which would be the closest anologue with it being a true scifi show), no one who I know watches the show even mentions the technology or what it looks like. Aesthetically I don't expect the new star trek to be anything too crazy. If anything it could even get a bit grungier and down to earth of Nick Meyers actually has a lot of say on the show.

Could have more of a grounded naval look with Meyer on-board and The Undiscovered Country supposedly having a large influence on this series.

It seems like they would want something practical so every shot on the bridge wouldn't have expensive CG in the background.

Neural interfaces. All communication and functions done through that. The whole episode would just be five people with metal tiaras sitting silently on chairs. They would save so much money

Given that we know nothing about the setting of the show, there's no way to know. Depending on the whim of the producers, we could have TOS-style consoles, TNG-style consoles, or something similar (if not identical) to those we see in the Abramsverse movies.

I tend to think we'll still see people sitting at consoles with blinky lights & animations here and there. We could see more holographic interfaces, but again that's dependent on what the producers want to do (either take things forward, go retro, or possibly even both, IMO). Aside from what may look more dramatically interesting visually, producers may take into account the VFX budget, in which the less time and money they have to spend on VFX "gags," the better.

We know from the Nick Meyer interview that the new series will be "different." But you use "will" as if you know something definite. So far, a ship and a bridge are only probable as far as fans know.

In his defence the single thing that has been said by both PR and by the showrunner is it will be a return to the old style of trek (paraphrase obviously). Old trek is an identifiable ship with an identifiable bridge. Even ds9 ended up with the defiant (which I love) and they had a space station. I mean heck, they spent time and money to design a whole new ship when they could have just said "here, have a nebula class or miranda, we have the model already". And it's not like the defiant was even in a lot of episodes of you really look at the numbers. But they felt they needed something identifiable with captain and series

At one time, DS9 was designed as a whole city. Ricardo Delgados concept art shows something not unlike the City/Spaceship in SG:Atlantis. Who knows what we will see. Then again, if they really decide to take TUC as a jump-off point, we will probably see Excelsior-Style consoles...

We don't know that at all. For all we know the show will take place on Earth.
Exactly. It's only a grand assumption. It's a safe assumption because CBS has a lot ridding on this, so it's unlikely the guys writing the checks will want to rock the boat too much.

On the other hand, it's important to note that Fuller's shows are hardly of the broadcast TV boilerplate variety.

There will be flashing lights. Possibly beeping.

Expect touchscreens to be in there somewhere, and lots of large-format monitors with DNDN (displays nothing does nothing) GUI graphics.
