What weapons would you use on the District 9 scifi film's aliens?

I know the low budget (by Hollywood standards) South African scifi action film District 9 hasn't opened yet, but if you've seen the trailer and/or know what it's about, then from cinema, literature, from any greatly admired violent or non-violent video games, or your own unique weapon/s,
what creatively or humorously witty (G rated or R rated) art of war or weapon/s would you use to capture the secrets of the alien technology the aliens in the District 9 film use and please elaborate on why you'd use it, for any weapon/s mentioned.

The Land Raider from Dawn of War. Then again, after using that the alien technology would seem pretty pathetic by comparison.

AK-47. When you absolutely, positively got to kill every alien in the room, accept no substitute.

I think you mean...

Transphase Eradication Rod TER. They splattered the Re'tu, they should just fine against the D9ners.

The Kill-O-Zap Gun.

The designer of the gun had clearly not been instructed to beat about the bush. "Make it evil," he'd been told. "Make it totally clear that this gun has a right end and a wrong end. Make it totally clear to anyone standing at the wrong end that things are going badly for them. If that means sticking all sort of spikes and prongs and blackened bits all over it then so be it. This is not a gun for hanging over the fireplace or sticking in the umbrella stand, it is a gun for going out and making people miserable with."

A really scathingly brutal movie review.

Guaranteed to stop most low-budget critters in their tracks.

The Gravity Gun is cool, especially when there are circular buzzsaw blades lying around.

The Cerebral Bore from Turok 2 is a personal favourite.

But, really, you can't go wrong with a lightsaber. Or the BFG 9000
