I keep getting an unknown playback error, and it's really slow. I tried on my ipad and pc, and get it with both. I've already entered 4 different verification codes. I think I'm going to try this again tomorrow.
I wish I had that opportunity.I'm not seeing it until it's in the theaters: wide screen, theater with recliners, beer and good food. It'll be a great way to spend my birthday with my wife and son.
Probably a good thing that I'm not planning to watch it for another day or two. Work out the bugs and heavy traffic!
I'd love for Berman to really 'tell all'. I especially want him to finally admit that he was not "hand picked" by Roddenberry to take over the franchise. I'd also love his perspective on the chaotic writing staff situation of the first few years.Yeah, Rick Berman's tell-all memoir is high on my Trek wish-list. Even something like the Solow/Justman book would be a great read, but I sense Rick is just too discreet and keen to safeguard Gene's legacy.
It's a shame because he's let the fans and others knock him for years without ever really getting his side of the story across.
In all fairness, I think Gene was listening a lot to his lawyer (Maizlish) at the time, and I am willing to bet that he contributed a lot to Gene's relationship with his longtime associates. Yvonne Fern's book about Gene sheds some light into the time just before Gene's passing.Well, Gene pissed off Bob Justman and sidelined him. Rick was the studio guy and the one Gene couldn't really get rid of. He was lucky Berman turned out to be the ideal steward for Star Trek.
Even the Oppo company which produced blu ray players which were loved and adored by physical media enthusiasts went out of business. Physical media is not the future. However, I consistently see TNG as one of the top favorites on Netflix. This "business plan" is a fallacy.
Physical media is no longer a feasible market for classic titles; there's simply not a large enough consumer base for it like there is for recent releases. This is why boutique labels like Criterion, Kino Lorber, Olive, etc have prices so much higher than those from the main studios.
Also getting unknown playback error.
Any workarounds.
I'm curious: about how long are the uprezzed clips?
