What We Left Behind - Documentary Update Confirms *Some* HD Remastering

I would have liked to know why they thought that killing Damar this close to the end made for a more interesting story.
Damar is one of those fictional characters who, even tough he "reformed" still has to die to pay for a past sin. In his case, he murdered Ziyal. It's like Darth Vader. Yeah, he turned at the end and killed Palpatine and saved Luke, but we saw him murder the Jedi younglings (among probably thousands of others), so he also had to die.

I don't know what you're talking about. Star Wars concluded with a surprisingly dark cliffhanger ending in 1980.

Mine arrived today. Since I saw the digital backer download a couple of months ago I'm waiting until this weekend to rewatch with some friends who haven't seen it yet. :mallory:

Mine dispatched a few days ago now and I keep checking my e-mails over and over for updates. I'm glad I'm not obsessed. :techman:

I received mine today. The only issue I have is the Shout Factory bonus disk isn't playing on my Blu Ray player. The feature disk works fine. I do have an older Blu Ray Player but it's never had an issue with new disks before.

update: Nevermind. Plugged the blu ray player into a different TV and it works fine.

update 2: The Should Factory Special Edition 2nd disk is not really needed unless you're a completist and must have it. I didn't find it very exciting. The best special features are on the main disk.

I'm glad he approves. It's a shame he felt that he didn't want to add anything to it, or felt like he couldn't add anything, but it was his choice. It's a real love letter to everyone who was involved, and the fans who continue to enjoy it as well.

Got my Shout Factory set - the roundtable is just an extended version of the thing they showed at the screenings (and the 15 minute piece on the main disk) and probably not really that additive as mentioned above. I'm hoping the composer reunion is a bit more interesting.

Got my "Backers Edition" yesterday :) It was well worth the wait!
Was pleasantly surprised with the special cover.
What a wonderful retrospective and love letter to DS9 and it's cast in front and behind the camera.

Fingers crossed we'll get all of DS9 in HD in the next couple of years.
It looks fantastic!

Meh. I missed an attempted delivery but I have a customs charge and handling fee, so it's an extra £11.68 on top of the $49 I spent originally to get it in the first place. $9 international postage fee as well. ;)
