What we learned from The Doctor's Wife (spoilers)

Here is something I hadn't thought about until now. The Doctor talked about how when he first laid eyes on The TARDIS. I don't know why but I imagined the police box. Obviously that wouldn't have been the case so what exactly was he seeing?

The Time Lords have a strange eye for beauty but then again when I was at Home Depot last night, I fell in love with a cinder block in the gardening section.

LMAO! I think that what the Doctor fell in love with was the console inside.. maybe he was trolling the stationary Tardises in their docking bay and then decided to try his luck at finding one open.. as he trolled the halls of Tardises in their docking bays, The Tardis (Idris/Sexy) BTW I prefer to refer to the Tardis as Idris rather then sexy.. as the term sexy is the Doctor's nick name for her.. like baby or honey is for some women in relationships, and their name is something else..

anyhow, maybe the gray cabinet opened it's doors as the doctor got near, and while he was in there mucking about, and the technician who had clearly marked it for repair was preoccupied, susan snuck in, just as the doors closed and the ship dematerialised..

at least that is how I picture it happening anyway..

Aside from the silly bit about picturing the Police Box TARDIS I imagined it (whatever it looked like) sitting in a museum similar to Statten's musuem in Colorado.

That kind of reminds me of Birth Of A Renegade, a story that was published in the Radio Times in November 1983. Fond memories.

OOooooH! I am going to have to check that out! thanks! :techman:

Oh yeah, definitely check it out - if nothing else, it's an early piece of original prose Doctor Who from a script writer of the show, which makes it worth looking into - I'm just saying, don't expect too much. ;)
