What was "The Burn" and what caused it?

Was it ever confirmed that Future Guy was Archer?
Braga devised a whole "Future Guy was Archer" scenario which he posted on his Twitter on December 2012, but that was likely made up at the time, given at a convention in 2009 he and Manny Coto said that Future Guy was "probably Romulan" while in 2005 when Enterprise ended Berman and Braga admitted they never thought up an identity for Future Guy.

Berman and Braga had no idea what the Temporal Cold War was even about, much less who Future Guy was. It was something mandated by UPN (specifically, UPN wanted something more sci-fi-ey and timey-wimey than just a starship crew in the 22nd century, so B&B quickly came up with some BS called the Temporal Cold War, but never seriously thought it through.)

Brannon Braga said it once on twitter, it was also said at one point that Future Guy was Romulan, and then STO turned him into their own original character.

He was a Krenim scientist taking revenge on the Federation for accidentally erasing his wife (and her species) from the Timeline, some of her species survived and became the Sphere Builders because of subspace technobabble protecting them from the timeline changes.

That really does sound like bad fan fiction. There's also a plot hole, because Future Guy warned Archer about the Xindi and Sphere Builders, while Future Guy in STO was working with the Sphere Builders.
Brannon Braga didn't mean Johnathan Archer was 'Future Guy' in ENT -it was THIS 'Archer' (see video below), he was saying was 'Future Guy' (and when you think about it, it makes PERFECT SENSE):

Sure they could fix whatever damage their galactic snooker match does, but once the damage is done they might have rules about not fixing things too much because reasons. Who knows what rules godlike beings have amongst each other? If they did have some kind of galactic snooker match maybe the damage was enough they can't fix it without changing destiny for the galaxies inhabitants.

Janeway described the Q as 'self anointed guardians of the universe' implying they do maintain 'some kind' of order in the universe (or the multiverse)... and Q did mention that they cannot allow super-powerful beings (or at least those with Q like powers) to freely roam the universe (but then one has to wonder, what about the Dowd who destroyed all Husnock everywhere in TNG? - hm, he may not be entirely on Q's level, and he seemed to be one of the species with powers who 'tries' to act responsibly (his Husnock extermination not withstanding as that was a highly emotional course of action - one he didn't exactly allude to happen all the time or frequently).

If damage was beyond the native species that made it, the Q might intervene... however, as we've seen from Voyager, when the Federation synthesized its own Omega molecule in the 23rd century by Ketteract in Lantaru sector, the destabilization of Omega destroyed subspace in that sector of space and the Q never repaired that damage.

Its possible that Q rely on subspace for travel much like space faring species in Trek do... and if a large scale destruction of it occurred, they might intervene... but they also seem 'content' to leave things as they are if a species causes a problem to them to fix it themselves... or they get the Federation/Starfleet in to fix it themselves and teach them a lesson in the process.

On a TNG episode where q became human, one of his suggestions was to change the gravitational constant of the universe to solve a problem.

If the Q can do something like that, fixing any damage to subspace should not be beyond their capabilities.

But in the end all the Q ever been as a plot device. The writers aren't going to use them to fix a problem thats central to the story they want to tell

There are some races the Q don't mess with too like the Borg, for some reason they don't prank them ever, I wonder how they'd react if Q snapped his fingers and put a whole cube in the palm of his hand?

Where are all the female Q? Amanda Rogers seems the only one.

The Q 'did' apparently prank the Borg... but have decided that it might be best to not do that - as is evident from Q's reaction to his son putting 3 cubes behind Voyager.

Q's partner who appeared in Voyager during the Q civil war ... 'miss Q' as Janeway called her

But being a Q means you don't have to apologize.

Take two Borg cube reduce them to the size of tennis balls and bounce them in your hands, and ask them how they feel? That's a prank I'd like to see.

That's what I would do if I were Q

Could a tiny Borg still assimilate you? I assume his tubules would be too weak to pierce the skin

The nanites wouldn't even make a dent in Q even if they were allowed to poke the skin.

An adult Q or Amanda since I like her, could walk around a Borg ship unhindered. I think I'd up the game by taunting the queen

I don't think the Q have sexes, Our Q once told Picard that in hindsight he have appeared as female if he knew it would have given him an advantage. They just appear however makes the most sense at the time. And since Q chose the form of a heterosexual male, then his mate chose a female form for her appearance.

You really think Picard's Q was heterosexual? The way he was with Jean Luc?
