Build a shrine to Han Solo. That's what I plan on doing with one of my walls when I finish remodeling the entire basement.
Okay, here is the wall in question:

It would actually be the perfect spot for a desk or a bookcase, but I already have one of each on the wall behind the couch.
I don't know. I like it the way it is.

I think you need a nice sideboard along that wall, with some cupboards in the base to store the stuff you've got piled up around your television. The music system could stand on the sideboard. And those little square tables could be spaced out a little. The one on the right would look nice with some flowers on, with the console underneath. Could your sofa be moved closer to the window and turned square to the room so you're not sat looking into a corner?
Kinda looks like my old apartment in Cincinnati.Okay, here is the wall in question:

Maybe this isn't about that empty wall. Maybe it's about that empty chair....in front of the TV.

I made an executive decision (and I kind of regret it) last year to put all my DVDs into a leather case, so I threw away all my boxes. Had I not done that, a bookshelf is exactly what I would need.
