You know how they released blu ray releases of: TOS Seasons 1 & 2 and soon 3, and also the movies: Star Trek The Motion Picture Collection,Star Trek TNG Motion Picture Collection, as well as indivical releases of the some of the 10 movies on blu ray,and soon to be Star Trek XI. So what tv series would like to see next on blu ray? Here is what I like to see next:

The Animaited Series
The Next Genaration
Voyager
Enterprise
Deep Space Nine

Thats the order in my opion should be next, so what is yours?

I want to see DS9 next, but it'll never happen. They'd probably have to do TNG first because it's more popular (and they only care about money ), and I can't even see them doing the whole run of TNG (maybe a handful of episodes for a "best of" disc) unless they somehow come up with an infinite source of money, workers and find every last clip of film. TNG, DS9 and VOY were edited on videotape so to get them at an acceptable resolution they'd have to hunt down all of the film then edit every episode from scratch including all of the effects.

Isn't Enterprise the only series filmed in HD?

I pre-ordered the movie in blueray. Looking forward to seeing it. Seems like I am the only one here that has not seen the latest movie.

^ I'm looking forward to reading about your take on the Abramsverse, SFRabid.

Enterprise for me. Since I'm a part of this show's following, perhaps more than any other at this point. I get the impression CBS maybe want to forget about it. I don't know where the DVD/Blu-Ray business side of the company stands though. You'd think it would've been rush-released to take advantage of the current climate. Maybe they don't want fans completely new to the franchise, filling a gap in the market between JJ Abrams' pictures with Enterprise instead of TOS-R? There's always that risk of it being a late developer, especially if the Studio endorse even the slightest interest.

It began being broadcast in full 1080p back in Season 3. According to the audio commentary on Broken Bow, it's been ready since the beginning for High Definition. Filmed on 35mm and then using Digital cameras for Season 4, which were left over from Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. All the way along the line from 2001, post production happened digitally. It should require no more work than the TNG films did, although adding new interviews and substantial extras to 2005 line-up would be my wish.

Probably out of the question, but a professionally done documentary (completely no-holds barred investigative piece on ENT). It's hard to avoid criticism, so discuss it with writers and producers from the show on a few of those canon violation topics. Maybe those who hate the show (but tend to buy or at least sample a season from every Star Trek) will be find the various answers insightful or at the very least, have a worthwhile extra that doesn't avoid burning questions in the way most of these features do. I can think of maybe only Bill Shatner on Star Trek V where shortcomings were tackled head on. With ENT, they had the best CGI on television anywhere and complaints mostly centred on storytelling, characterisation and even casting.

I doubt we'll see any other series on Blu-Ray, but it would be nice to see DS9 on it. Even though it would be the third time I've bought DS9 on DVD.

I doubt that we'd have the complete runs of TNG, DS9, or VOY on Blu-Ray because, as previously mentioned, they were stored on videotape instead of film and they aren't high definition.

However, if Trek remains economically viable thanks to 11, I could see CBS perhaps going forward with something along the lines of a TV Movie pack. This was mentioned as being considered a while ago before the fan collectives. Paramount/ViaCom/CBS had planned to redo some of the TV movies (the season cliffhangers and two parters) for release on fan collective like sets but they pulled out in the last minute for fan collective releases. I could see them doing something like that.

I think Enterprise will be released on Blu Ray, if for the reason it was the only spin off shot on High Def. Restoring TNG, DS9, and VOY would be a big effort for them. Although, I have to say, the last few seasons of DS9 hold up very well on normal DVD. The effects still impress.
