What Star Trek captain would you find easiest to work for and why?

Although not my favorite captain by a long shot, i would have to say Captain Archer simply because he is the most laid back and i could probably relate to him better as he is closer to our timeline. There would be less of a gap between our ideals.

Agreed.... Archer is almost un-Captain-like in his approach-ability and casual demeanor. Second would probably be Captain Janeway.. she seems rather mellow with the crew.

Kelvin-Kirk seems pretty chill. Archer's chill too, but he's also a massive buffoon.

So Kelvin-Kirk. He died to save his crew. And got better.

That's dedication.

Either Sisko or Janeway.

Sisko is just...cool. I can actually imagine talking to him, having a beer in Quark's and I'd know he would be supportive regardless of the scenario. Very, very dependable. The way he was willing to turn a cargo bay into a space for Keiko to work, just at the request of O'Brien, says it all really.

Janeway is very similar. She has a sort of warm, understanding nature that I think I would appreciate. Also, like Sisko, she would stand by her crew regardless of what the issue was.

(The others I would all have an issue with. Kirk seem's to be more interested in the ship and alien women than his own crew, Picard is too distant and removed and Archer is to prone to bouts of lunacy)

I’d follow Picard to the ends of the universe. The man consistently earns trust and loyalty. I always think of his visiting Crewman Tarses, who was under immense pressure in “The Drumhead”, purely to talk with him and hear his side of the story. He may not be as approachable as Archer or warm with the crew as Janeway but it’s clear that he deeply cares about every single person on his ship.

A very good evaluation.

This. Weighing the nine captains (Pike, Kirk, Picard, Sisko, Janeway, Archer, reboot Kirk, Georgiou, and Lorca), I find that Picard, and the Enterprise-D in particular, would be the overall easiest and most comfortable to work on.

Lorca, Janeway, Kirk Prime, Pike, and Sisko in a way, would be vary stressful taskmasters, depending on my role in the ship. Archer and Georgiou are good enough captains, but the ship is lacking in comforts, making it not so easy to work. Reboot Kirk might be a contender for top place, if not for some uncertainty about his command style.

Sisko and Archer. Both are fair and easy to talk to. Sisko has a lot of humour, while Archer is just a nice guy.
