They're not. Baron Papanoida was a Pantoran, not a Chiss.

That's what I said. The aliens in "Trespass" were Pantorans.

Want it to be headache inducing? In the EU Lucas's species was Wroonian before the Clone Wars retcon to Pantoran, but that species still counts. And there's also the infamous blue variety of Twi'lek - hey, it's just the in colour in the galaxy, evidently.

Agree with all of those choices although I don't recognize a few of them. I agree with you about the Yuuzhan Vong. I'd love to see a NJO animated series in the same style of TCW

Butlerd I was thinking the same thing about an NJO animated series. That would be so awesome. The Yuuzhan Vong were made for a screen-big or small. Some of the characters I named come from the Dark Horse Republic comic series which takes place during the Clone Wars. Tann, Skor, and BulQ for example were dark siders that could allow for more lightsaber battles with Anakin, Obi, and Ashoka. Having BulQ would be extra sweet because he was a fallen Jedi.

Bultar Swan and Koffi Arana played a big role in Purge, a one-shot that took place after Republic was cancelled, and after ROTS. It was the most badass Vader story I had ever read. I think it's collected in one of the last Republic TPB. I highly recommend it. There's a second Purge story, "Seconds to Die" that just recently came out. That was garbage. The first Purge story was excellent. Roan Shryne was prominent in the post-ROTS novel Dark Lord: the rise of Darth Vader. And Dass Jennir is currently running for his life in the post-ROTS comic series Dark Times. I wouldn't mind seeing some of these people because it could provide some interesting foreshadowing.

Just thought of another species I would like to see on the show: Blood Carvers. I think they are pretty neat.

You could also have the Vong in there. In fact you could probably do an episode with both the Chiss and the Vong. The Vong are making incursions into the galaxy just before the Clone Wars (possible as long as 4,000 BBY) and the Chiss encounter them at least once during that period so you could work a story with them both.

From what I recall, Tim Zahn made a vague allusion to Palpatine perhaps sensing the oncoming of the Vong before the Clone Wars and planned accordingly to meet them in Outbound Flight. And Vergere, a pre-Clone Wars Jedi, encountered them sometime before ROTJ (I think), or maybe even ROTS. So, its possible that you could do something, but I think it would have to be a one-shot episode, with some disposable Jedi or Clone Troopers, and maybe have Palpatine learn about the Vong in the end or something.

More of Aurra Sing. I know she was featured in the S1 finale, but she's terrific and there will hopefully be more of her. Why not a whole episode centered on her? Failing that, heopfully she'll be were Cad Bane is (or whatever his name is).

Wouldn't mind seeing more of some of the less featured jedi as well. The 2-part episode with Aayla Secura wasn't so great due to the overall weakness of the tribal jungle raccoons with Scottish accents... plus I'm not sure why Secura had to have a French accent. The accents really buggered up what could have been a great double episode.

Frankly, the interaction I'd like to see more of is the Obi-Wan / Anakin interaction. Usually they spend their episodes apart.

I know this thread is for wanting to see things that haven't been portrayed yet... but I'd just like them to do the characters already established some justice.

Absolutely loving the show, though. No question it's the only watchable animated series on right now.

From Zahn's "Outbound Flight", one of Sidious' agents who had been sent with a Trade Federation task force to destroy Outbound Flight encounters Thrawn's fleet and he introduces Thrawn to Sidious and enlists Thrawn's help with stopping Outbound Flight by claiming that Outbound Flight might encounter the Yuuzhan Vong (referred to as "far outsiders") and have them speed up their incursion into Republic space- before Sidious can finish his plans to bring down the Republic/Jedi Order and start up his heavily militarized "New Order". Thrawn admits to having heard rumors of them as well and agrees to help stop Outbound Flight.

As for Vergere, according to Wookiepedia, she encountered the Yuuzhan Vong on Zenoma Sekot and allowed herself to become their captive (but eventually becomes somewhat of an ally of theirs by the time of the NJO series). According to Lumiya (Legacy of the Force), Vergere was a Sith wannabe and suspected that Palpatine was secretly a Sith Lord and attempted to assassinate him but was chased off and hunted by Palpatine/Sidious, which is how she eventually ended up on Zenoma Sekot

These events occurred sometime shortly after TPM. Vergere disappeared sometime before Outbound Flight launched, which was approximately 5 years after TPM. Obi-Wan and Anakin also visit Zenoma Sekot at some point after TPM as well ("Rogue Planet")
