What species/locations/characters would you like to see in Clone Wars

For me, I'd like to see the Bothans featured in the series at some point. Given that they were mentioned as being a pretty important ally of the Rebellion (as well as good at intelligence gathering) in the OT and of the New Republic in the EU and the fact that one of the battles featured in the Clone Wars series actually took place at Bothawui (S1: "Downfall of a Droid"/"Duel of the Droids")- though we didn't actually see any Bothans- what are the odds that the writers might bring them into the storyline at some point?

Also, I think it would be cool if they somehow feature Corellia in the storyline at some point. Though it may be a bridge too far to expect a young Han Solo cameo, it'd still be cool to actually see the planet, meet some other Corellian characters.

It would also be interesting to see a cameo from Gilad Pelleon on the show, particularly since he was actually featured in a Clone Wars tie-in novel ("No Prisoners")

Something involving the Dathomiri "witches" would be pretty neat- according to Wikipedia, they were somewhat involved in the Clone Wars.

Anybody have anything else that they might like to see featured in the series at some point?

Re: What species/locations/characters would you like to see in Clone W

It would go against the established EU lore, but I would love to see Thrawn fighting on the side of the Separatists.

As far as settings, I'd like to see Mon Calamari, the water cities and what not.

Re: What species/locations/characters would you like to see in Clone W

The obvious answer to this would be Boba Fett.

Re: What species/locations/characters would you like to see in Clone W

^^ Boba's probably too young to bother with at this point.

On the one hand, something from the Thrawn Trilogy might actually get me to watch such an ep. OTOH, I basically view GL's PT canon as wholly separate from Zahn's TT, so seeing elements of the two juxtaposed might well cause more aggravation than pleasure. After all, I don't include the PT in my personal SW canon anyway.

I probably wouldn't mind seeing an ysalamiri ep, and I agree that Bothans should be shown, as they were explicitly mentioned in ROTJ. But as much as I'd like to see Thrawn and Pelleon in action, it'd probably be best to leave them out of this. Same for Joruus C'Boath, though showing the original could work.

Also, Prince Xixor or a member of his race could be cool.

Thrawn would be interesting.

Re: What species/locations/characters would you like to see in Clone W

I'd love to see characters from the Ostrander/Duursema comics, like K'Krukh, Quinlan Vos and especially Zao, whom I think would work extremely well in the Clone Wars series.

The Cottonswabbians (Kaminoans) from Attack of the Clones. They're earie.

Re: What species/locations/characters would you like to see in Clone W

With EU characters, how does the usual problem of payment for the original authors factor in to this ?

If they used, for example, Thrawn, wouldn't they have to pay whoever created him ?

Re: What species/locations/characters would you like to see in Clone W

The Chiss, of course. Specifically, yes, Thrawn. I'm not a big EU fan but I love Thrawn and I'd like to see him in this or the new TV series. Sure, there's the fear they'd ruin him but also... Thrawn, wooo!

(Ashoka used a Thrawn strategy in the first season, so they're geeky enough to nod to him, anyway.)

Good question. Timothy Zahn is still writing Star Wars novels to the best of my knowledge, so it shouldn't be much of a problem. And did they pay him for Coruscant, which IIRC was also his coinage for the capital planet?

Re: What species/locations/characters would you like to see in Clone W

^I assume there's no kind of "you write for Star Wars, you sign everything over" kind of deal, though ?

Re: What species/locations/characters would you like to see in Clone W

there probably is. US writers doing work-for-hire like SW or ST tie-ins tend to have to sign away everything they create. not like in the UK where Terry Nation owned half of the Daleks...

Re: What species/locations/characters would you like to see in Clone W

I was glad to finally see the Mandalorians last week. I'd also like to see the Bothans and Corellians.

And on a side note, fewer "Ahsoka goes on an adventure" episodes would be great. Yikes, was that "Lightsaber Lost" episode meant to meet a quota for stories with a lesson for youngsters, or what? That was what I was afraid this series would be, not the great anthology it has become.

Definitely would like to see Mon Calamari.

As for Thrawn, I'm not sure how they might work him in without a lot of retconning- since the Chiss were well beyond the boundaries of the Republic ("Unknown Regions") and Thrawn didn't come along until he was "discovered" by the Empire (not that I wouldn't mind seeing him, of course:devil:). It's not like they're not re-writing the Mandalorians, so Filoni could conceivably do whatever he wants (as long as it is approved by GL of course). In the EU, there was apparently a female Chiss military commander and Sith Acolyte who fought on the Separatist side for Count Dooku (but she apparently died within a month of the outbreak of the Clone Wars).

*I momentarily got excited with the premiere of S1 "Trespass" since I thought that the blue-skinned aliens WERE Chiss- only to be disappointed when I found out that they were just from another race.:(

On that note, as a KOTOR fan I'd like to see Manaan.

Uh... do a time travel episode?

Yeah, I'm that desperate.

They weren't just any race, though. They're the George Lucas race!

By which I mean they're the same species as his cameo in Revenge of the Sith.

Re: What species/locations/characters would you like to see in Clone W

Actually, Chiss have had contact with the OR in a small way for thousands of years so having one or two turn up isn't that major.

As for Thrawn, by the time of the cartoon he is already known to Palpatine as he was duped into destroying the Outbound Flight project half a decade before the cartoon. Personally not a fan of Thrawn so I'd be happy not to see him in the cartoon, but he could be worked in if they wanted him to appear without having to do any major retconning.

Maybe some tie ins to The Force Unleashed, like Kota, Kento Menak, Paratus or Brood turning up. Kota was leading his own non-clone militia so he could easily appear in some battle somewhere.
