What Song Are You Listening to Right Now

Stellardrone is awesome, love the way he composes.
I might see Epica live this summer :) they'll perform in a place close enough so it seems.

Lately I've been going from Stellardrone to Arch Enemy, then EDDIE's Still Healing to Aeverium and then this one...

One of Brian Eno's masterpieces, haunting, chilling, beautiful.
The Prophecy Theme

Holy crap. I had no idea that was Brian Eno and I've been listening to that soundtrack since I first read the book! I guess I thought all of the music was Toto.

And yes, very good, haunting piece.

I've actually bought the Dune Soundtrack CD just for that track..

In those days he was also making Apollo Atmosphere and Soundtracks, I always wonder if The Prophecy Theme was written and then rejected for Apollo and that Brian later on used it for the Dune soundtrack.

Either way, it fits the movie.

Wikipedia said:
"Prophecy Theme" was composed for the movie by Brian Eno, who is rumored to have composed an entire earlier Dune soundtrack, although only "Prophecy Theme" and some incidental background music survived in the final film version.[/img]

This song is proof positive that the 1980's was the greatest time period in all of human history to be alive (and in high school).

Haunting piece of music, does have a sad beauty in some way.

I've posted it before, but I need a bit of a mood lift right now:

I heard that one right after the song I posted. I found their YT page and went through a few of their tunes.

It's funny, with 7- and 8-string guitars and 5- and 6-string basses, stringed instruments are beginning to feel like razors to me, now.

Was going to follow him on yt but can’t be arsed to remember my signin info. I adore strings. Especially bass strings. Zowie.

Whoever said picking up a stringed instrument again--bass for me--years later is just like riding a bicycle is dead wrong. Gah! I'm horrible now.
