Okay, I gotta thank (or curse) YouTube for this one, because it became an immediate earworm all afternoon after I saw it. Jim Carrey's parody of Vanilla Ice from an episode of In Living Color. "White, White, Baby." Rumor is that Vanilla Ice said this skit led to the end of his music career.
Agreed, she actually has an incredible clean voice, as for that happening with Arch Enemy, it can be done, Lauren Hart does them quite often in Once Human songs, and of course Tatiana from Jijnjer also does both clean and harsh vocals. I guess it depends on Arch Enemy, are they ready for that or do they want to stick close to their traditional sound. This young lady (Martyna) can do both as well, she's the lead singer of Ascend The Hollow and now Rage Of Light RAGE OF LIGHT - Lead the Riot
Lauren did harsh vox on one or two Kamelot songs, whereas Alyssa did one harsh and one clean for them. Kamelot always gets the best guest vocalists.
I'm currently spinning the Glyn Johns mix of his version of The Beatles 'Get Back/Let It Be' album from the 50th Anniversary 'Let It Be' box set. Say what you will about the Phil Spector (over) produced version, at least its listenable; I have no idea what Johns was thinking with his version, the takes selected/sequencing/mixes are both puzzling and terrible. Had this version of the album been released, it probably would have received worse reviews than 'Let It Be'.
