I used to sing Down in the Valley to my granddaughter as a lullaby. (But not the Birmingham jail verse)
I was recently turned on to some Greek Black Metal from a band called Rotting Christ. Good stuff and a lot of albums to choose from, going back to 1991.

I've D/L'd a few of their videos. Pretty good.
They've been sounding super since day one, even their oldest work has been excellent.
Same with Ad Infinitum, their first album has the sound and feel like it has been done by a band that has been around for years.

I really like Once Human, they make awesome music and they're luckily also not afraid to do something silly.

I really like Lauren, she's exceptionally gifted when it comes to her screams, she's one of the reasons that I've started doing them.. and no.. I am not even close to what she can do.
I think I would love to just drink a coffee with her and talk screams, music and fitness.
As for Kamelot, they're awesome, and yes, Lauren or Alissa are a perfect fit for their songs as is Elize Ryd, also they used Shagrath from Dimmu Borgir in "March Of Mephisto"
No idea what techniques Shagrath uses, I can hear some false cord but don't ask me about the rest, guess fry scream and voice with grit.
