Really happy to know that there are more Ayreon fans here on the board, kinda fitting.. it is almost impossible to get more SF than Ayreon. A little less SF but another Arjen Lucassen project, together with Anneke Van Giersbergen, I saw Anneke performing live last summer, awesome voice, her new band, Vuur, consists mostly out of the Gentle Storm live band. The Gentle Storm -Endless Sea (Storm version)
^^ The Storm version of the whole album is just fabulous. OK, so I've been playing this for a fifth time in a row now: YouTube kept recommending Jupiter songs to me for like two months, but it never mentioned they had ones like this. The band mentioned this as a favourite in an interview, I looked it up and it was very the last thing I expected to hear. I'm not sure if Dream Theater could sue, because it sure sounds like one of theirs. It's so creepy I'm trying to think of the four songs it reminds me of, but either I have memory loss, or neither of them exist and it's just eerily similar. But this is absolutely fantastic and addictive. That resemblance gives the creeps almost as much as “Pink Froid” by “Infected Mushroom”. (Back in the day I was sure Infected Mushroom's “The Legend of the Black Shawarma” had sampled “Dream Theater” riffs I couldn't recall, and I was told it hadn't. So maybe I'm simply slightly crazy.)
Sorry, I’m not really sure this needs a thread of its own. I’m going to move it to the “What song are you listening to?” thread.
Not really a song but someone playing a mean little tune on a 40 year old Moog Modular System 55 synth.. analogs rule..
