Does a natural song count? There's a nestbox in the tree in front of my office's window and the starling (a bird, known - like the mocking bird - for it's astonishing ability to copy all kinds of sounds) living there is singing a ballad for his GF It's hilarious as he has built in the screams of Bussards (a bird of prey), cell phone ringtones, song fragments of several African bird species, a Harz Roller (a sort of canary bird with a peculiar warbling song) and the squeaking of a bicycle in need of oil. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Starling#Voice
Gershwin is always good! Though I like his American in Paris even better than the Rhapsody in Blue. Currently listening to Gershwin's lullabye (it's almost midnight over here) [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tw-ArzPl0bg[/yt] Afaik he wrote it when he was still a student - it doesn't sound Gershwin-ish at all, does it?
