What ships SHOULD they have used in the Dominion War?

Discovery season 2 established that Constitution class ships were indeed special, even getting their own uniforms, or at least getting the color combo uniforms before anyone else did.

When you're the 'Pride of the Fleet' and shown to be the "Best Among Us", they give them the first stabs at the New Uniforms that will eventually become standard.
