What season does Voyager get “good/great”?

Season 3 is probably where Voyager gains it's footing. That said, there are some stellar and stand-out episodes from season 1 and 2. The Thaw (season 2) remains one of my personal favourites. But when we hit the episode of season 3 called The Swarm, we get Voyager hitting it's stride. Granted, there are some dud episodes I find personally missable, like Concerning Flight in season 4 and some questionable episodes in season 7, that felt like the series slipped back into season 1 storytelling.

I was sad after watching the last episode of "Picard" when I realized the BORG assimilated the Sikarians. While I never liked Magistrate Gath, Harry Kim's girlfriend didn't deserve that fate.

I wonder if the BORG were lead to Sikaris because of their encounters with Voyager.

I liked Voyager all the way through and this episode is a good example of why I liked it. Janeway's dressing down of B'Elanna and Tuvok. B'Elanna realizing she had to own up to her error, Seska whispering into B'Elanna's ear like Wormtongue.
