Three acted like her disappearance was a total surprise, and sure she might have had to hand in her id badge later, but if someone had to dispose of her body, then they wouldn't want it to be easily identifiable if it ever came to the surface so to speak that...

I didn't read the book where she was killed off. I do, however, remember her being part of P.R.O.B.E. in a series of spin off films.

Eternity Weeps was the name. And it takes place 20 to 30 years after her time on the series (depending on your UNIT dating views), so plenty of time for her to take up pipe smking and work for PROBE in the meantime...

Not only did they kill her off but she in love with a Silurian! It was part of the New Adventures series.
It's possible that this will be contradicted in the future by one of the Big Finsh Companion Chronicles audios.

For legal reasons, they have had to do some dancing now and then.

Though in a new BF in a couple months they are going to be pairing 8 up with a companion from the novels and another companion from the doctor who magazine comics.

I'm a bit dark on the completeness of her origins and history, but she was in the new adventures and Big Finish.

Speaking of Big Finish, I just went on a roadtrip and got to listen to a couple of them. What's up with them pitching Nicola Bryant's voice into a helium-like squeak? Is it like that in a lot of hers? Also, any idea why she doesn't do the audios with Colin anymore? Is it to give Peter someone besides Nyssa? And for fuckssake', the "Evelyn" companion of Colin's is the shrillest, most annoying whiner since Melanie! I absolutely can't STAND "Evelyn". She's always bitching about something and nagging Colin's Doctor like an old wife. Ugh! I'll be trying to avoid her stories all together.

I really enjoyed The Girl Who Never Was, although I'm a bit confused by the end...

Yes, Charlie and Six have had several adventures together in the year or so since the Girl who never was and... Their relationship is "complicated" if not a little dishonest.

I wasn't fond of Evelyn much either in the beginning, but I've got all these loving feelings of lovingness for Nyssa because she used to be so beautiful when I was so impressionable. It is much harder for me to fall in love now that I am not a 6 year old.

A behind the scenes had Colin talk about India as "An addition to my stable of fillies." and I laughed my ass off.

Peter has a completely new Companion at the moment for the new Key 2 Time arc.

Nicola was talking about her register. As women get older their voices get deeper. So she had to create a sqeak to seem like she's still 22. This was in reference to a story where she was trapped in AI and got to live out a couple decades of life while she gradually lost the squeak as she got "older" approaching her actual real age.
