What old games would you like to see "reinvented"?

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II definitely needs a do-over. I never realized how incomplete the game was until I read a let's-play at the LP Archive that included as much of the cut content as could be salvaged. The HK47-centered mission that was supposed to take place near the end looked especially awesome, as well as the droid planet. And no, I do not consider the Old Republic MMO to count as a continuation of the series. The immersion in the plot is ruined as soon as you get hundreds of adolescents going "lolololjedi OMG kan i haz free stuff kthxbai" at the same time. Disturbance in the Force indeed.

And why do I seem to be the only one who thinks Pokemon Snap needs a sequel? :(

They don't make as much money I would think.
Right now the Gaming industry boils down to two types of games FPS and RPG...flight sims like I remember are long gone.

I maintain hope that we might see Freespace 3 someday.

OH SO DO I....the game was perhaps the most terrifying experience in a fighter. I've never felt so hepless while we could penetrate their shields or in those MASSIVE ship to ship battles...
It was excruiating watching Galeta getting carved up like a roast...

That's a good one for a "reinvention". Recently re-played it, still a great game despite being essentially unfinished (and of course, janky in the typical designed-by-Obsidian kind of way).

its wery likey that the plot holes will be resolved in this book:

Apart from Command & Conquer, Red Alert and Final Fantasy VII which have already been mentioned here, I think Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross could do with a remake. Failing that, a sequel would be nice after all these years!

I agree with this one. SquareEnix needs to give Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest a rest.

At this point I'd want proof Square Enix still harbors competent writers before I gave my support of another game in the Chrono series.

Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. It's a legend, but I've never played it and I can't because the graphics distract me. Same with Starcraft. I played a couple of matches of it (accustomed to pretty RTSs like Red Alert 2), and I remember some of the vocals fondly..."Go, go, go!"
