I'll never watch TFF in its entirety again (unless I ever edit my own 30-minute version). Just too painful.
But I WILL watch the Yosemite sequence until Spock straps on the jet boots. I can tolerate McCoy's dialogue as he watches Kirk. But even THAT is too "on the nose."
And I only watch my edited version of TMP (45 minutes cut from the original video release)
TMP is a difficult movie to sit threw but some times I watch it just for that Nostalgia <Incorrect spelling I know.
I own 4 of the TOS movies and all the TNG movies.
I still consider FC the best trek movie ever made, theres just something about it that brings a tear to me eye when I look back on this 1996 classic, so much hope for the franchise and so much excitement surrounding FC from trekkers and non-trekkers alike. Who woulda thunk it would all go down hill from there on.
TFF. I watched most of it about six months ago on HBO, mostly because I was in a kind of "I want to watch a tranwreck" kind of mood.
Virtually every moment I watched seemed to reinforce why I consider that movie such a total joke. I don't think I'll ever bother with it again, at least by choice.
I will watch them all again as they're all entertaining. Some more so than others and some less than others. Each movie has something I enjoy about it.
I'll watch and rewatch Nemesis again and again, because after a few months, I have trouble believing that it was actually as bad as I remember it to be.
When I watch the movie, of course, I realise it's exactly as bad as I remember it to be
Nemesis, it's the only one I never want to see again. All of the Trek films have a few redeeming features, including TFF. But Nemesis has nothing to redeem it, it's a load of badly thought out action scenes connected together by a rubbish plot run by a villain with the worst motivation in the history of cinema. I only wish I never saw it in the first place.
I've never seen Insurrection or Nemesis and have no intention of ever doing so. I've seen Generations once and will not watch it again. I'm very unlikely to ever watch The Search for Spock, The Final Frontier or First Contact again. And to be honest I probably won't go out of my way to watch the rest. If I'm flicking channels and there's nothing better on, I'll watch one, but that's about it.
