What 'Lower Decks' characters should be in the film?

I've seen a lot of non-serious threads about $ACTOR for $RANDOMCHARACTER, but not much discussion of what characters should be in the film aside from the regulars.

I think we should see Rand, Chapel, and Kyle in the film for sure. They're probably the best known of the TOS recurring characters, and they're the three who had cameos in the films. They don't need to have major parts, but we should at least see them.

Since this is a Romulan film, it might be nice to see Lt. Stiles (from Balance of Terror, not Styles from TSFS).

I'd also like to see Leslie and Hadley as bit parts, as they both appeared in more episodes than Sulu or Chekov.

We already have lower decks characters appearing in the film. They are Scotty, Sulu, Chekov, and Uhura.

Sorry, but I doubt that these characters will be given anything majorly important to do other than to appear on the bridge, fill in the necessary exposition scenes, and go with Kirk and Co. on the away mission.

Don't get me wrong, I would be nice to see Chapel and I guess it wouldn't be too hard to do if there is a scene in sickbay that requires McCoy to have an assistant. I can go either way with Rand, honestly. As for Kyle...I'm sure sometime in the movie, they'll use the transporter pad. And I'm sure there will be someone manning it. I guess Kyle can appear that way, but I'd be surprised if they go out of their way to mention his name, but if they don't...we can make-believe and say that was Kyle, I guess

Actually, we don't know that. That is nothing more than speculation.

And that's really all they have to do. I'm not asking for a Huge Involved Cast, just a bit of fan service.

^^ nah. The "bit of fan service" they are providing is that they are making a Star Trek film AT ALL, after the last fiascos. That's enough of a present for me.
