What Is Your Favorite MLB Team?

My Dad is starting to like Boston, He rooted for them in the series. And he used to be a Yankees fan back inthe day when everyone was a Yankees fan.
It does always seem that when they have good pitchers, the rest of the team doesn't back them up. Hmmm.

Yeah, that was me. Good old Mr. Met face down with an empty bottle of scotch.
I remember that final game. I live out of town so I listen on XM mostly. It was maybe 1:15 PM, and I decided to have lunch and listen. By that point, it was already 4 or 5-0, with more men on base. I just gave up right then.
Some bastard at work printed off a link from mlb.com the next day with a Mets division champs shirt on it and left it on my desk. It wasn't as bad as the pictured of the 19-0 Patriots stuff I saw, but close.
^I think the worst thing after that game was the New York Post front page with the crying little boy. Bad Mets!
I gave my sister a Mets Mr. Potato Head for Christmas. She was so upset by their collapse in the fall that I was afraid she'd throw him in the microwave or something. (She loved it.)
Burned them, I hope.
The Mets joke that made me laugh hardest last fall was Jay Leno explaining what Notre Dame really means (remember how bad they were last year!)- "It's Latin for New York Mets!"

As a fan of the Mets and Patriots, I was borderline suicidal to start with in early February.
The fact that the Boston team I hate won the Series while a NY team I never liked won the Superbowl over the Boston team I do like just a couple months later made it a lot worse.
I need to move to a state with loose drinking laws and no sports teams!
