What is this super-strength stuff? I wonder if it's cordrazine. We've already seen how potent it can be.

I had this idea that it could be referred to as "ripcord", because it can either save your life (like a parachute) or kill you (RIP).

This. It's a thing you inject and it enhances your reflexes, strength, etc. Makes you fight real good, basically. Not that outlandish in a world with teleportation and warp drive (hell, both the Axis and Allies gave their soldiers drugs in WWII to improve their concentration).

We don't need to have the characters give a whole speech about the history of a thing that is very obvious. Hell, that kind of exposition - scenes where characters explain basic stuff to each other for the sake of the audience - frequently gets criticized. I do think the scene was not that well done, but my issue with it is that all of the Klingons (save for one) charged in for melee combat instead of just shooting M'Benga and Chapel with disruptors, which was kinda silly.
