It seems some people won't be happy unless Star Trek looks like a 1960s type of fan film series like Star Trek Continues....
That's the straw man. All we're saying is that we want it to look like it could reasonably exist in the same fictional time period. It doesn't haveto look like the '60s This is the '17s after all. But if it could look similar to the Star Trek's depiction of the 2250s that's be great.
That explanation took 30 years to materialize and was never the original intention (as Gene Roddenberry was frequently quoted on, Klingons always looked like that). So come back in 2047, and if they still haven't explained it you can be mad.![]()
So have Klingons always looked like these new ones? Am I supposed to watch ST, TNG, DSN, and VOY and pretend that they've always look like these Discovery Klingons?
I agree. Though on the other hand, would Spock really be quick to brag about his mutineering, ex-con halfsister?
Apparently he never heard about the mutiny becasue about ten years later he said this:
CHEKOV: Has there ever been a mutiny on a starship before?
SPOCK: Absolutely no record of such an occurrence, Ensign.
