What ifs never considered yet

That's a great book (even if I don't agree that the YE Picard and Riker would be that bloodthirsty) but what I meant was what if the E-C had been destroyed before the time hole had closed. Would Picard go back in time to try to "correct" things somehow or would he stay in his future timeline?
It would depend on Guinan's advice. ITA the Klingon war turned YE Picard and YE Riker into blood thirsty fools, they were ooc in that novel, acting more like mirrorverse versions of themselves.

In Future Imperfect

<After seeing Minuet as "his wife that died two years ago", Riker goes to the bridge, asking Geordi, Worf and Data questions they should be able to answer, but can't>
<Picard steps into the command area with Deanna and Ambassador Tomalak.>
PICARD Captain Riker, this is no way to act in front of Ambassador...
RIKER Shut up!
PICARD What did you say?
RIKER Shut up, as in close your mouth, and stop talking.
TROI Will... I can sense how upset you are. You're angry, impatient--
RIKER Back off, Deanna.
RIKER Well... anyone else want to speak up. Or can we end this... charade?

Suppose at this point it turns out it is reality, after all (you can add whatever instant explanations required for the Minuet and other discrepancies).

Now, how would this scene have continued in that case? ;)

Crusher or someone else sedates him or Deanna talks him into a turbolift down to sickbay (if he puts up a fight he gets stunned), apologises (he's clearly suffering ill-effects). Picard hopefully manages to salvage the peace deal, Riker retires and someone else comes in to captain the enterprise. Geordi get's fired for incompetence, Data realises his positronic net is breaking down and retires to an academic pursuit as a professor in Oxford, when the Romulans have left Worf becomes less edgy and recovers his normal spirit, realises he's wasted the last 15 years sitting at ops when he could have been an Ambassador by now and eventually leaves.

What if in "The Changing Face of Evil", during the battle at Chin'toka the Defiant is disabled by the Breen energy dampeners BUT is not destroyed? It's captured by the Dominion, restored and repainted in either Dominion or Cardassian colours and joins the Dominion fleet. Meanwhile the Sao Paulo turns up at DS9 and becomes Sisko's new starship. During the Battle of Cardassia the two Defiant-class ships face off against each other: the Sao Paulo under the command of Sisko and the Defiant under the command of Gul Dukat.

Worf becomes less edgy and recovers his normal spirit, realises he's wasted the last 15 years sitting at ops when he could have been an Ambassador by now and eventually leaves.
Worf later admits to Riker that the "battle" in which he received his scar was with Data's cat, he had been too embarrassed to tell Riker on the bridge.

What if after "Mirror, Mirror", Kirk had convinced Spock to grow facial hair? Regular Spock regularly switching between mustache/beard combos?

I find that more creepy than it being a fake.
