What if the Zhat Vash had never sabotaged the rescue fleet?

Riker could have went to the Federation and gotten \advocated a medical exemption and went to date from and activated B4 for a cure.
Riker: Remember that time I saved the Federation from the Borg? :borg:

Federation health clinic: Get lost, we don't give special treatment to anyone.

"Do you know how many Starfleet officers can legitimately make that claim nowadays? This isn't the first half-decade after Wolf 359 anymore."

As for the effects of the Admonition upon Zhat Vash prospects...I'm certain that brain damage is the consequence. It varies in severity from person to person, but damage is inevitable.

Consequences:

  • Picard and Musiker - among many others - would still be in Starfleet.
  • Thad Riker would still be alive.
  • Narissa and Nedar would still be in place as deep-cover agents of the Zhat Vash within Starfleet Intelligence.
  • Rios might still be an officially-disgraced ex-Starfleet officer, on the run from his own past as orchestrated by Nedar.
  • Mars would be intact, as would the Utopia Planitia Yards.
  • Millions of Romulan lives would added to the rolls of those who survived the destruction of its core systems, living on other worlds which would be more secure for the resettlements having had better support. Indeed, there might still be a unified Romulan star-nation.

Would work on the Romulan Borg Cube still have gone forward if the Zhat Vash had never sabotaged the rescue fleet?
