What if? Scenarios across series...

Kor

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
Here is your chance to speculate as to how the scenario would have played out if a captain and crew from one series encountered a situation from a different series. For example, what if Kirk had found himself and the Enterprise stranded 75,000 light years from home? What if Picard was in charge of a third-rate space station at the edges of Federation space? What if Janeway and Chakotay were framed and incarcerated for the assassination of the leader of a rival galactic power? How would Picard have shown respect for Eminiar VII's laws if the Enterprise-D was declared a casualty of their war and the crew ordered to report for disintegration? What would Sisko have done if the Defiant came across a gigantic amoeba in space?

Feel free to treat this as seriously or as humorously as you wish. All captains and crews, and all events from every episode and movie are fair game. However, if you refer to things from Star Trek: Discovery, please use spoiler tags.

Fun will now commence. :borg:

Picard on DS9:
Would probably pontificate "The previous post at which I served as Captain was the Enterprise. Compared to that, this is an overworked, underpowered station, always on the verge of flying apart at the seams. In every measurable sense, my Enterprise was far superior. Indeed, there are times when I would give almost anything to command the Enterprise again."

Picard and Dukat interacting would have been kind of funny though. Both somewhat self-righteous and pompous characters but with a very different value system, they would probably annoy the hell out of each other :)

Something that was pitched as a "Myriad Universes" story. What if the Botany Bay had been found by the Enterprise D?

Then he'd watch the Jem'hadar smash into a Galaxy. Devastating.

We kind of got that in "The Neutral Zone", since Marc Alaimo played that Romulan commander.

He also played that jerk-ass Cardassian with the soul patch (Gul Macet) in the TNG episode "The Wounded" where that's how the episode ends; Macet being an ass and Picard telling him off.

I'd do "The Inner Light" TOS-style! But instead of Kirk getting hit by the energy beam (which would be the obvious choice since it was Picard in TNG), I'd actually have Spock be hit by the beam. As the "years" went on and the longer he lived as Kamin, it would be interesting to see how much of that Vulcan logic remained, and how much of his human side came out. EDIT: Also, I'd love to see Spock and Bones be fused together in a transporter accident, like Tuvok and Neelix from VOY.

I do recall reading about Janeway as emissary. It would be interesting to see her dynamic with Kira and Dax.

Same with Sisko in the DQ.

On planet Ekos, I don't think Picard could have let pass Data's remark "you should make a very convincing nazi" just with silence and a glare, like Kirk did :)

The inner light with Spock: interesting suggestion. As far as the captains go, I think it would have worked well with Kirk, too, because both Picard and Kirk are shown as singularly devoted to Starfleet. Janeway and Sisko on the other hand were both shown to have a life (and relationships) besides starfleet (even though circumstances forced Janeway to abandon that temporarily), so I think the inner light wouldn't have worked that well with them.
