What if Pine's Kirk met Picard?

I just started to wonder what Pine's version of James T. Kirk would think of the Picard we know from the 24th century prime universe?

[after ordering tea, earl-grey hot, Picard looks at Kirk]

Picard: "Mankind has evolved"

Nu Kirk: "Bullshit".

It just seems like the Abram's alternate reality can't possibly still become the stuffy PC "evolved" people of the 24th century. I just can't see these guys at all replicating the TNG guys we know.

I don't think there's any way, after this smackdown so early in the Federation's growth, that they could ever become the same idealistic, PC culture that they are in the TNG era. If anything, you'd probably have more of a parallel between this culture and what you see on DS9 as the Dominion War situation gets bad.

My guess is that this Federation will be a little more...Section 31'ish, more likely to cut corners and do things that the squeaky-clean Federation Council would never have contemplated in the prime timeline.

Here's one idea I wrote about...
