I know exactly what you're talking about. The DC ruins part of the wastelands were terrible to navigate.I'm taking a break from Fallout 3 and switching over to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I like Fallout 3, but trying to navigate the DC ruins has finally annoyed me to the point where I don't want to play anymore. Switching over to Oblivion because I'm hoping it's a similar type/ quality of a game without a large part of the map being turned into a PITA maze.
I'm glad to hear that Oblivion is easier. It wouldn't be so bad if I did nothing but follow the story.... except I like to explore. I want to find everything and go inside every door, and DC just pisses me off because I have no idea how to get anywhere. Which is a shame too, because I really was enjoying Fallout3 right up until that moment.I know exactly what you're talking about. Oblivion is definitely more straight-forward in terms of level geometry.
Exploring in Oblivion can get a bit tricky if you try to scale mountains, but you get used to finding just the right angle to ride/walk up.I'm glad to hear that Oblivion is easier. There's another Red Faction coming out this spring and I might get that too.
Typically, the paragon option is at the top and the renegade is at the bottom. If there are options on the left side also, most of the time they will be neither, but the pattern holds when they are.which dialogue options are paragon/renegade
The majority of the side quests are given to you directly, but there are about 5-10 you will have to find on your own. While interesting to play once, most of them are wholly unnecessary. Most are very short or uninvolved and none do anything for your characters really.there are not enough anomaly side missions as most of the planets all you can do is harvest elements.
^ I'd wager you don't have an HD TV. I've found that a lot of 360 games have illegible tiny text on a standard def TV. It always drove me crazy. Definitely one of the major factors in finally getting an HD-TV. Which is probably part of the idea behind it!
I thought about picking up Mass Effect 2 as well. That looks cool.
