What games are you playing currently?

It's quite brilliant. A bit like DX in that I keep finding new things pretty much every time I play it. Looking forward to getting into it again.

I love how they put spoilers in the actual game..... If you know the moment I'm talking about DJ console

Anyone needing a short and relaxing game should check out A Short Hike. It's a beautiful little platform game about a hike, with some fun game mechanics.

The original or the remaster.

The original I think (Definitely PS2 anyway).

It's apparently stopped working on my mates machine so he asked me to test it on mine as we (currently) have different versions of the PS2.

The original was a PS1 game and the remaster was for PS4, so if you're playing on a PS2, it would have to be the original.

Had a Google on it (though my mate called it 2, it doesn't actually mention that on the box) and seems to be the fourth main title in the series (it's the wrath of cortex) while another one he's recently bought was Cortex Strikes Back which is the real second one?

Yeah, that's it. Wrath of Cortex was the first game not made by the series original developers, Naughty Dog.

Has anyone been caught off guard by an abrupt change in tone?

The Trails series generally has a shonen anime tone to it, then all the sudden they show you the backstory of one character being sold to a child sex trafficking ring and forming multiple personalities as a defense mechanism so she can pretend it’s all happening to the others and not her.

I'm playing some now-older Star Wars titles, some of them for the first time. I'm on "The Force Unleashed" now. Coming from the KotoR and Jedi Knight games, I find the gameplay in TFU really annoying, especially the way it makes you follow very specific button sequences to beat the bosses.

Kor

Quick time events like that were a huge thing for a while, but they seem to be moving away from them now.

Since I'm stuck on PS3, I've been reviewing old titles. I'm playing InFamous right now, and also trying to do Endless Survival on Plants vs. Zombies. Unfortunately, the red eyed giant zombies are still sticking it to me.

Oh, I know! I found it quite a repetitive game, in the end. I found the sequel a bit better in that respect.
