What games are you playing currently?

Their wording was a little off. Behind the scenes Milton Bradly was getting ready to launch Microvision, which was a really cool idea for a cartridge based hand held video game system. It was years ahead of Gameboy, but it also had a lot of technical problems never resolved, and a lack of games. In their parlance it was not a video game, and did indeed require electronics. It was ultimately one of the first in what is now one of the most proffitable segments of the gaming industry.

I've been going through Yakuza 3 Remastered, and enjoying it fairly well (although its the weakest of the Yakuza games I've played so far). It suffers from just being a remaster instead of a remake, so some of the flaws from the PS3 version (most notably the extremely frustrating combat with enemies that can just block forever) are a problem. The story is also not very strong (apparently its known as one of the weaker stories in the franchise). I'm still enjoying the game, but I'll be happy to beat it and move on to Yakuza 4 Remastered (after a break between games).

I've also played some of Lego Indiana Jones (the original one), and honestly it really drags. The level design isn't that great, and the puzzles (of which there are a lot more then in, say, the Lego SW or Batman games) are either pointlessly easy or really frustrating. I'm not sure if I'll finish this one, honestly.

Do the later Yakuza games have the constant fucks in every bit of dialouge that they had in the first one? I don't mind swearing, but over use of it gets on my nerves, and when I played the first one it was just constant fucks to the point that I got annoyed and quit.

After watching Picard I started re-playing Mass Effect. I forgot that Sirtis and Shimmerman were in it.
Funny how all the interfaces in Mass Effect are similar to that of the ones in Picard. They're even orange.

Apparently the new DLC for Stellaris (‘Federations’) is getting some good press/reviews, so that’s what I’ll be playing if I can catch a few hours in the next few weeks.
Cheers,

Seeing as it's the free weekend, I thought I'd try Assassin's Creed; Odyssey. I prefer it to the first (and only) Creed game I've played so far.

Back before I started my second play through of Mad Max, I tried to play Mass Effect 3 and I think it's screwed up. I got as far as the title screen, but then it seemed to get stuck on the "checking downloadable content" thing. I waited for quite a while, but it never got past that. Any ideas what is wrong with it?

First guess would be that the servers are down? (Downdetector mentioned some problems though I haven't tried it myself)

I've just picked up Watch Dogs on the epic store sale (Free til 26th I think) so I may give that a try at some point.

Started a new game in No Man's Sky, after several months not playing.

Video games don't hold my attention that much anymore, but I come back to this one occasionally. Especially now that it's much improved, both in gameplay, and framerate.

I am tempted by the current discount on Star Wars: Fallen Order, on Steam, and did take advantage of the free Tomb Raider title they have until the 24th.

Resident Evil 5

Me and a friend going through as many online co-op games as we can during this UK Lockdown.

I'm looking at Generation Zero and Hellblade. Has anyone played with either of these, and what are your thoughts? GZ makes me think of Horizon Zero Dawn but set in the 80s with killer robots.

I think whatever the problem is with my Mass Effect 3 game it's something to do with the Omega DLC. Last time I played, a few years ago, it froze up when I started the Omega mission, andyesterday morning I deleted all of my game data and then redownloaded the DLC and Patch, but I started before Omega had downloaded and I was able to play, but I tried to go back to it later in the afternoon after Omega had downloaded and it got stuck on the same DLC message as before.
Since I can't play that, I started a third or fourth play through of Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction.

And Generation Zero should have been priced at Zero........Boring 1980s end of the world game with killer robots roaming the land, made me think of a low rent Horizon Zero Dawn but without the fun, a purchase I now regret.

@JD Your ME game. Did you update your game before downloading the DLC for some reason similar thing happened to me on that game where I did the game update after getting all my DLC and that caused issues with the DLC where you have the party. So I removed all of it and installed the game and update then the DLC and all was well. Just a suggestion your situation might be different.

Been playing Lego City Undercover and while previous Lego games have had tons of collection to them, this being one of the largest games and open-world, that seems to have increased exponentially. The data scan tool is only mildly useful too as you more or less have to scan every single sector or just discover things on foot.
