What games are you playing currently?

I actually finally did it, I finished The Witcher III: Wild Hunt. I didn't do the Gwent stuff or the treasure hunts, but I did finish all of the story quests, and all of the side quests and contracts I came across.

A500+ for me. Unfortunately, the original died, but we've managed to replace it. Had a lot of fun with it at the time and still enjoy gaming on it.

From a work perspective, some of the office software on it was very good too.

Could you get away with doing things like word processing, web surfing and email on one of those today, or would web pages not work properly and stuff? Would modern coding work on there in terms of web content?

I picked up Trover Saves the Universe. A pretty decent platformer with some action aspects, with Justin Roiland's Rick and Morty humor dialed up a bit. I find myself just running into characters and listening to them ramble on and on and telling me how stupid of a piece of shit I am

Have there been any stories set after the end of the Witcher III? It did leave things kind of open for more stories.
I've gone back to finish up my second play through of Batman: Arkham Knight.

Since my last post in this thread I finished Assassin's Creed: Syndicate. I then started Mass Effect: Andromeda and yesterday I also started Assassin's Creed: Origins.

Let us know what you think of ME Andromeda
So far I'm enjoying it. I know there was a lot of criticism about all the bugs when it came out, but those were fixed a long time ago and I haven't run into any issues. Some people have said the story isn't great, but so far I'm finding it pretty interesting, but I don't think I'm too far into it. Currently, I've met the angara and gone to the frozen planet, where I'm doing a bunch of side missions. The gameplay is pretty good, and from what I remember, pretty similar to the previous games. The only real negatives so far are that none of the companion characters have interested me in the way that the original trilogy ones did, yet. Because of that, I actual think I'm actually going to do a no romance play-through this time. Visually, I think it looks pretty great, I just wish the facial animations were better. They seem a little stiff to me. Overall, I'm enjoying it and it feels like a Mass Effect game to me. I might give some more opinions when I get further in or finish.

Just wait till you get to the planet where they plop the colony down. Oh those character animations never got fixed and you'll find yourself talking to characters while they are having siezures, that's the best way I can describe it. Arms flailing about while talking it's hilarious. And that was one year after the game came out and never got fixed.

Yeah, most of the "fixes" to MEA were only to about the first two or three hours of gameplay, which is where most of the memes came from. The fundamental problems are still omnipresent and honestly, have less to do with mechanical bugs than plot, story, character and world building. There's even some bugged quests they they flat out never bothered to fix, so that's fun!

Just to be clear though, I still largely enjoyed the game but so far haven't managed to get very far into a repeat playthrough before loosing interest...and I did *tons* of playthroughs of the previous three instalments.
I'm not even 100% what it is. Maybe the samey reskinned planets & biota, the class build that perhaps gives you too much freedom, or the very mixed bag of characters to interact with. Mostly I think I'm annoyed there isn't an option to fire Liam. I mean besides being insufferably smug and self-righteous, he's objectively incompetent!

Not to rant (too late!), but when I triggered this little bit of banter, I really wanted to just kick him out of the Nomad and make him walk back to the Milky-Way. Just to be clear, I'm all for unlikable characters as they can add flavour, but they also need to be unlikable in an interesting way. This guy was annoying and dull (Peebee on the other hand was annoying and charming, which I kinda like.) What's worse the game acts like you're expected to be won over and doesn't give you character any alternative but to "like" him in the end.
They do a similar thing with the engineer character who's so memorable I can't even remember his name. I recall after one or two interactions I got a codex entry update telling me that'd we'd become very good friends...which I suppose was nice to know since I didn't exactly notice this myself.

It's like when the developed this game they had a whiteboard full of bullet points showing what people liked about Mass Effect games and one of them was "deep and involved friendships with squadmates" and just shoved it in the game not stopping to thing *why* players felt they their PC had deep and meaningful friendships with certain squadmates. Which really, seems to kind of sum up the game as a whole.

Liam? Oh god yeah I wanted to punch him at points. Okay, I GET you're frustrated with the pace of things. But I'm ON YOUR SIDE. Give me a fricking heads-up before you try to do stuff like covertly scan our new alien allies to figure out their tech, or give them scouting intel. Pretty much everything he did I would have OK'd, but only finding out about it AFTER the shit hit the fan? Grr....

Liam yes he could have tested out the ships new airlock

I've been stuck on the last series of fights at the end of the first Kingdom Hearts for ages. After weeks of struggling I finally got through the fight inside that big open dome with Ansem, and started to celebrate, until I found out there was another fight after that, and of course there's no save point. I fought with it for over an hour and died more times than I can count, before I got frustrated and gave up.

Does anyone know where you get the freeze grenades in Batman: Arkham Knight? I need them for the DLC mission in the downed airship and to get at least one Riddler trophy. I hoped I would get them during either the Mr. Freeze DLC story or the main story, but I've finished both of them and I still don't have them.

I guess it's more an issue about the operating system since no modern programs exist that can run on the original Amiga OS. If someone would program a browser though i'd assume it could handle basic and not too demanding websites which are programmed well under HTML, Java or Flash websites might not work again due to the OS.

I had an Amiga 2000 back in the day and the night before i got it i was so worked up as a kid that i actually sleepwalked.

Once i got i was in heaven and still remember the classic i played endlessly and every once in a while i try to find an emulator site and relive those glory old days :D
