What games are you playing currently?

Having played a little while, it's good fun just because of the narrator. Controls are a bit awkward, but the game play is fairly similar to Dungeon Keeper with a few twists.

The Game of Thrones RPG by Cyanide. I went in with low expectations, but I've been pleasantly surprised. Ok, the graphics are not very good by today's standards, the combat takes some getting used to, and the voice acting is not great either, but it's got a very compelling story and Martin even appears in a cameo as a Maester. To that end, it's been full of interesting surprises.

Holy fucking shit Overwatch is good.

Has been quite a while that a game made such an impression this early on.

Picked up Disney Infinity 3.0 on sale at GameStop last week. My oldest nephew has wanted to try it, for the Star Wars characters. He likes it so damn much, he has offered to trade me a $20 gift card for Ahsoka.

Kinda feels like neither nowt nor summat, really. A lot of the information could have been given just as well or better through in engine scripted gameplay sections or cutscenes. I guess some of it is to give you insight in to what's happening where you wouldn't see it through gameplay but it also kinda pulls you out of them game to sit and watch a 25 minute FMV cutscene. Also adds a little to the uncanny valley when you're seeing the actual people the gameplay models were rendering a few minutes ago.

Also it seems a little pointless to have a branching TV series when it seems like the differences are either so minor you wouldn't notice without the little icon or it's a completely different episode depending on the one main choice you get each act.

Now, it's an interesting experiment, and I kinda wonder what it would have been had Xbox not backed off the whole TV and film studio idea and thus cut back on it all. But it feels somewhat of a wasted potential situation.

Overall I'm enjoying the game, interesting story, interesting if somewhat under used and under developed mechanics in places. But somewhat feel that it would have been better served as A TV show and/or A Game than as an amalgam of both.

It makes you wonder, doesn't it? That's probably the most fascinating thing about that game for me, it's such a... relic in that way. That's a parallel universe I'd be interested to visit, the one where Microsoft instead of backpeddling actually doubled down on the Don Mattrick version of the XBONE "vision".

Yeah, as much as I didn't like that vision, I guess it would have at least been a defining difference between the Xbone and the PS4.

It could have been a trainwreck, but either way, it would have been a sight to behold. ;) *goes off to yell at Cortana to tune into Xbox TV*

Since yesterday afternoon I've put 2-3 hours in to trying to kill that final boss. Fuck it, I went and watched the ending on Youtube and sent the game back for my next rental.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (3DS)
Pikmin 3 (Wii U)
Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky (PC)
Steamworld Heist (PC)
Spyro The Dragon (PSN / PS3)

I was sick so I started up a bunch of games. Now I have to finish them.

Doing another playthrough of Virtue's Last Reward (2nd in the Zero Escape series) in preparation for the release of Zero Time Dilemma in a few weeks. Can't wait!

And a question for all you guys talking about Valkyria Chronicles Remastered, is it worth getting a PS4 for that (it probably wouldn't be the only game I get the console for), or should I just get Valkyria Chronicles on Steam? I've had my eye on the game for a while now.
