Speaking of which, the Playstation Store has the new Tomb Raider on sale for PS4 for only $18!!! I played it on PS3 already, but I totally bought it again for PS4 to see how it compares.

The sale ends today, I believe, if that's something that interests you.

The PC has made me such a cheapskate. 18 dollars, outrageous! I've been looking at the consoles again and even old games are often a minimum of 20 dollars which is a hefty Steam purchase for me. I bought Tomb Raider for $15 over a year ago (and only four months after it was released).

To each their own. I generally don't like PC gaming. If I'm playing a game, I want to kick back in my recliner, not sit at a desk.

What says I can't? Not trying to get in a PC master race argument as I have nothing against the consoles just saying there is a big discrepancy in software prices. Whether it ever comes close to offsetting what I spent on hardware is another story...

Well, if you found the suspense stressful, then the third game might actually be more to your liking. They basically turned Dead Space into an action-y TPS.

Don't get me wrong, I *like* horror. I'm a huge fan of horror films and to a certain extent, literature. I just haven't played many horror games that I've been able to enjoy. In my experience they're generally either stressfully oppressive, but not actually scary or just mindless action games wearing the trappings of the horror genre. Typically in about as effective a manner as a bull with some seaweed draped on it's horn might try to pass itself off as a salmon.

In the case of Dead Space, it was more issues with the mechanics combined with an over-dependence on blatantly telegraphed jump-scares in lieu of atmosphere and suspense.

To give an example of a horror game done right (at least in the beginning) have a look at 'Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth'. Quite possibly the most terrifying and engaging segment of gameplay I've ever experienced come pretty early on and involves nothing more than basically running for your life, unarmed and alone, with nothing but your wits and pure adrenaline.

Finished Xenoblade Chronicles last night, clocking in at about 180 hours in the end. Amazing game, I can't believe they were able to pack so much into a Wii game. Can't wait for Xenoblade Chronicles X - hopefully it comes out in 2015 like it's supposed to.

I've got Fire Emblem: Awakening (3DS) on the go and I'm almost done that one too. Also Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages (3DS virtual console).

Plus the usual here and there of Smash Bros and Mario Kart.

Lucky. I'd love to come across that game.

They are porting it to the "New" Nintendo 3DS, but of course that hasn't been announced anywhere outside of Japan and Australia yet. I'm kinda expecting them to announce it in North America the day after Christmas after everyone already starts playing with their new Old 3DSs they got from people not in the know.

Yea, but it'll be awhile before I could play it . A couple of years at least. I have a perfectly good "Old" 3ds that works just fine. So I don't need a "new" one just yet.

Been playing OR and AS lately. Hoping to play some more games this weekend.

-Super Mario 3D World
-Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
-Nes Remix Pack

I also downloaded the original NES Legend of Zelda on the virtual console so I'm playing that too.

I played "X-Men: The Official Game". The game was challenging for me, and I felt relief when I succeeded at the toughest difficulty. I didn't like the last level, which I didn't complete at the Superhero difficulty, for it was a mano-a-mano fight. The game lacked a cohesive story structure.

So I finished LEGO Marvel over the weekend and now I'm working on getting some of the other trophies. I still haven't decided whether or not I wanna get the Platinum.

And I started playing The Last Of Us Remastered... man I forgot what an awesome game it is. According to my save game I'm at 54%. And now that I know what I'm doing, it's fairly easy on Hard. I might give that Survivor playthrough a shot eventually.

I'm findin that to be the case with Tomb Raider as well. Places where I remember dying 4 or 5 times are now a breeze!

It's been awhile since I've played on my Wii U. Gotta play some of NES Remix Pack. It seems crazy , in a good way.

Yeah, I've replayed all of the Uncharted games three times, and there are still certain areas that are a challenge.

TR is relatively easy, but there were still a few parts where I died a lot, though most of them involve me sliding and falling and getting impaled by random branches.

Fallout: New Vegas, and I'm enjoying it, but as usual with games that aren't a bit more linear and far more character-driven I'm finding it difficult to stay focused/interested. Tempted to start my fifth Mass Effect run, but intrigued enough by the main quest to stick with it for as long as possible. The Mojave was going to be a tough sell regardless as open-world games just frighten me, but it's really not engaging me as a play space. The plot, however, is.

It's been awhile since I've played on my Wii U. Gotta play some of NES Remix Pack. It seems crazy , in a good way.

Yeah TR is definitely a more casual game. I still loved it though.
