What games are you playing currently?

Yeah the whole inventory thing is borked on HZD even on console. It's just borked. Yet I dearly love the game.

However Guerilla did a huge mistake. You should have been put back on the map post battle not before the last mission. They missed a huge emotional score by having Aloy visit Rost's grave after the battle and not just before it if you happen to discover it. Such a missed opportunity and silly world building there.

Tell Me Why is good, just had chapter 2 install. Steam is also borked why can't you keep playing while stuff downloads, other platforms manage to do this with ease.

I thought they did? Or maybe I'm just confusing it with the cinematic. But yeah, I don't know why so many games insist on the final saves be before the last mission instead of also having one after it. Did you find the final battle difficult? Between the crumbling cover (and I found those crumbled way too easily), I had barely made it, even on the easiest difficulty.

I have only bothered to use the tripwire in that one quest where you fight the very first sawtooth.

After that I just couldn't be bothered to use them or the ropecaster.

Did anyone just avoid all the tutorials and hunting trials? I really couldn't be bothered with those?
I didn't bother with the trials, most of the weapons were pretty easy to figure out, and the tutorials seemed like a waste of time. I did the enough of the hunting grounds to get through the stuff with Talanah and the Hunters Lodge. I did a few after that, but I gave up pretty quickly if I didn't get at least the second rating after a couple tries.

Yeah I changed my difficulty to story and even that that final battle was a curse... Agree about the crumbling stuff. BTW the reason they don't put you back into the world after the battle is that it would have been too much work to have a ruined Meridian included in the game, also some rubbish about it ruining side quests.

But had you ported into the game after the final battle they'd also have to change some of the speaking parts and add stuff for Aloy to say to Rost but I really did feel that was a missed opportunity to have her say some final words after victory. You are never given that chance.

I didn't do any of those.... Just couldn't be bothered.

However I did have a ton of fun with this game, more then any other and now just wandering the map looking for all the missing datapoints and there are tons of those.

One good thing did come out of this and I'm now a little more motivated to finish my game on console.

Is anyone playing Tell Me Why?

I guess that's true enough, and maybe it also needs to be that way for the Frozen Wilds to work. Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one that found the final battle really tough.

It's the huge Deathbringer ..... That one was a nasty fucker to kill.

Now I have images of GAIA being towed around the world by a Deathbringer coloured pink.

"Be green or else"

Yes, it certainly was. There were others that weren't so tough, so when it came to this one I thought it wouldn't be so bad. But what makes it worse is the countdown. They made it that much harder by inserting a countdown into it.

I killed the timer on my third attempt. Thank the maker for trainers

Just tried Fallout 76 via XBox Game Pass (PC) and wow what a disgusting piece of shit. The frame rate from the menu screen to the opening Vault section makes it unplayable. The game simply doesn't work and since my expensive PC can play anything on the market with ease, I don't think my hardware is the problem.

Not had such a horrid experience in years, I would gladly punch Todd Howard in his smug face with a pip boy.

Hah! Score one for the PC version! :D I hadn't even thought of that. I'm not even sure what the devs were thinking in putting in a timer. It's not like it wasn't difficult without it. I think different players will end up needing different amounts of time given different play styles. I think I ended up with 10 seconds to spare, so that was cutting it really close, and remember this was on story mode.

Yeah, I wouldn't touch Fallout 76 with a 10 foot pole. That seems like gaming narcissism :D

Yet so many AAA game releases score great reviews in the press... Customers must like being milked and used as beta testers and the whole culture of preordering only rewards greedy game devs.

Yeah that's why I did what I did... 3rd attempt I didn't want to spend more then the allotted time killing that mofo. My timer kept running out so I thought screw this I have a trainer I shall use it.

I'd hate to think how difficult it is on the highest difficulty level. One thing they could done in favor of the story mode was remove the timer completely.

Getting back to the crumbling cover, I had so much difficulty with it in general. There's a part of the story, I think in the underground facility where you first encounter a deathbringer and also the part you get introduced to cover, and I also had a hell of a time there. I felt that in general the cover should have lasted longer than a few seconds, longer to let me set up my next attack, but it felt like it crumbled the second I took cover and not give me enough time to react.

I downloaded and started playing Fortnite this morning. I've been seeing so much stuff about it lately that I decided to go ahead and give it a shot. It's free, so I figured what the hell.
The problem I've run into is, I can't figure out how to change my characters. It started me off as a regular human woman, and then after my first match it changed me a male version. I keep seeing all of these crazy characters that I want to check out, but I've tried all of the pages on the menu and every button on the controller and nothing is changing it.

I am still busy with Knights of the old Republic 2. I think I made a mistake, HK 47 want's to taken over humanity :)

Your first mistake was playing Fortnite :D /just kidding.

I think what you get is random each time you play but don't quote me on that. Never played it have zero desire to play it.

I have to admit, it was the Marvel and DC tie-ins that finally convinced me to give it a try.
I thought I was almost done with Assassin's Creed Origins, but I keep getting a more new quests as I'm trying to work my way to the big final confrontation with the last members of The Order.

It’s random and has absolutely no effect on gameplay. You can buy a skin if you want one of those crazy characters, but there’s not much point. I’ve been playing a couple of matches every few days for the last four or five months and don’t see any valid reasons for people hating on it. It’s actually the online online shooter I haven’t found incredibly annoying.

Enjoy!

Well I got the Platinum trophy on inFamous: Second Son, and have attempted to get into the Control: AWE expansion, but can't seem to. So, now I'm torn between trying to play God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, or Watch Dogs again.

Edit: I also bought myself a GameCube as an early birthday present to myself along with Wario World and Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Holy shit Double Dash's AI is cheap compared to Mario Kart 8s! If you're in the lead, you get pelted by all kinds of shit from blue shells to red shells to Yoshi eggs! I'd forgotten how cheap this game was!
