My longest held wish about the captain's chair was that Saru would always get pushed aside by the current captain-of-the-season for the whole series and would only get to be the actual captain for the last scene of the last episode, his only order being to command Discovery to return to Spacedock to be decommissioned. Alas, the showrunners have decided to thrown a spanner into my theory for whatever evil reason.

Did you sense a...vibe between those two even before they got in the room? Nhan's "yum yum" comment was weird, in a funny way. Nhan didn't have enough screen time to get a sense of her character. I could see those two being shipped.

Well it looks like Nhan was temporarily taken out during the fight with Leland but there was no overt mention of death. So she could still be alive. (As to why she wasn't in the final scene where Leland dies, I'm guessing that Georgiou told her to stay out of it because it was a personal confrontation between Georgy and Leland.)
