What episodes would you like to see revisited?

Infrequent references to the past might give Trek a sense of historical depth. A rich past could be implied.

Things I would like to see in the new Star Trek series, otherwise it's not a true Star Trek series:
  • Exactly how Worf and Troi broke up
  • Where the Borg baby went
  • Did Thomas Riker live, and what did he have for dinner if he was freed
  • A harrowing flashback to show some poignant reason that started Guinan's love of hats
  • Dr. Pulaski
  • Happy-go-lucky Spock from 'The Cage'

  • Show how Janice Rand got even with Spock for his comment at the end of The Enemy Within.
  • And why did Rand disappear? We know she wasn't killed.
  • A return by Gary Mitchell, I would prefer a calmer and controlled Gary.
  • More of Dr. Selar and Ensign Gomez, hopefully as a couple.
  • Dr. Pulaski, sorry but I want her to fall down a turbolift shaft.
  • Adventures on the Stargazer, with Jean Luc (prior to taking command) and Jack.

Nothing, really.

My only caveat would be if it's set post-NEM and we have a character (a good one) from one of the previous TNG-DS9-VOY crews "pass the torch" in the first episode. There, (s)he could bring the audience up to speed on the fate of other characters and the new galactic context in general.

That wouldn't really be an episode follow-up as much as establishing continuity before the new stories blast off into uncharted territory.

I'd like to see more of the Suliban and the Xindi, two interesting cultures whose potential wasn't sufficiently explored on ENT.

I want to see the results of Spock's attempts at reunification on Romulus. This is the last we've seen of his character, regardless of what happened in the recent non-canon movies.

I would also like to see what happened to the Borg after being infected with the neurolytic pathogen. I swear, if they just completely ignore the Borg in this new series just like they did in DS9 I will be furious. No mention of them in the first season? Fine. No mention by the end of the second season? Riot.

I'm ashamed of how many people seem to be in such opposition of revisiting older lore. There are 726 episodes of Star Trek. For them to just brush off every single last thing and make no references what-so-ever to previous episodes? That is madness. They might as well just name it something else and recreate the entire franchise. Continuity is key. As someone said before, the show needs to move forwards, not backwards, and I completely agree. That is why I want it to be set post Nemesis. Without continuity they would have to either ignore or tip-toe around certain parts of history and we would be forced to fill in the already expansive gaps.

Nothing if it's the prime universe. Star fresh, minor references to different alien races, like maybe a Cardassian walking around in a Starfleet uniform or familiar species from all over the franchise intermingling, like Suliban hanging out with Bolians or Pakleds with Andorians. But I want this to feel like Doctor Who's "Rose" in that something existed prior to the new series but this show stands on it's own.

Also, I want to see Q back. One Q episode per season. Or if they're doing the whole story arc thing then maybe and entire one of those about the Continuum.

Speaking of pilot cameos, who do you guys want to see in that role?

I think Captain or Admiral Worf would be suitable for a post-NEM series so that we can let Dorn and his Captain Worf idea rest.

Picard would be the ideal choice, but I'm not sure if Patrick would do it.

Worf would probably be the next best choice.

I like the idea with revisiting the Conspiracy aliens. I would like the show to stand on its own, but with advances in CGI, I think bringing back the parasites could be really cool.
