What Enterprise is better design? (final)

No question for me here -- the 'Refit', all the way.

Sorry, the dang Galaxy class is just out of proportion with that china-plate sized saucer...

Cheers,

The refit. I mean, come on....

Depends what type of ship your after.

1701 is the classic Exploration/Battle
1701-D is the Exploration/Family
1701-E is the Battle/Warship
1701-F is... not quite sure

I love them ALL for their different uses. I think each one does what it was designed to do perfectly and that only that ship can do what it does, they cant be exchanged.

The Refit. Though I'd like to see a TNG-era refit of the (Enterprise-Class) / Constitution II-Class to conform to modern Sovereign-Class level treknology. (Holodecks, Internal corridors, replicators, escape pods, ODN/EPS systems, phaser strips, torpedo/probe launchers, etc.)

I prefer the Galaxy because it looks much sturdier. Some parts of the Refit ship look like they're going to fall off in combat or in warp.

Uss, you will provoked the purist ;) and if you a refereeing to thin neck and pylons you have a valid point. But overall the Refit looks better then the Galaxy.

No contest: the Refit Connie. The Galaxy-Class design is probably the worst ship design in Star Trek. The saucer looks like someone melted it.. the lines are way too "soft" and the whole ship is top-heavy. From certain angles the ship looks absolutely laughable.

Agreed!

Refit, although I've never considered the neck safe especially after STII.

It isnt an option and I know its controvertail but Ive always (ok since it appeared on TV a few years back) liked the NX-01
