Being a changeling would be the best, then you could be whoever and whatever you wanted.
I'd rather be an orphan like Odo though so I'd have the freedom to choose my own life and not be stuck as part of the collective whole. It would suck being so seperate, but better that than be part of the oppressive Founders.

I concur, not sure if id want to be one, certainly wouldn't mind dating one though, they have some fine ladies.

I just noticed something about Cardassians;

They had a reputation as falling behind the Feds, Klingons, Romulans etc.

But the Feds and the others had a head start on them..

But... if they had just a little more of a head start---and had more ships and advanced technology, they might have been able to take on the Federation on their own, the same way they did when allied with the Dominion.

They're very organized both politically and militarily. They just got started late...

Still, I wouldn't want to be one...they live waaayyyy to dangerously, among other things.

In a way, the Founders would be kinda of neat- they don't have to fear that much, around the clock protection, and they spend their time in a blissful ocean .

But, they live too dangerously too..

I choose either a (happy)Changeling or Wormhole Alien- free of a lot of limitations and restrictions.

I agree with you, Nightdiamond. And if they had been advanced enough to take on the Federation, the Alpha Quadrant would probably look very different. The Dominion may not have been a problem at that point, if they were even a factor at all. I could see the Cardassians deploying a metagenic weapon against the Founder's homeworld and settling the conflict in one fell swoop.

Yeah, a loooooooong time ago.

I ended up commissioning a plushie doll for the con instead, of one of my Cardassian fanfic characters. Much easier--and the person who did it for me was a much better businessperson than the one I tried to work with for a cosplay.
