Some of you are putting way, way too much time into thinking this out. Of all the ridiculous minutiae to obsess over.... i mean for crying out loud! I'd suggest telling you guys to all go out and get laid or something, but then I remember the crowd I'm talking to.

I particularly like how most of the thread is just a bit of fun, and the only ones who are swearing and getting worked up are the ones who are basically telling people to stop being nerds.Refracted Universe.

No argument from me. I was there too. I thought STC and STA were well-established. Suddenly allegiances shifted, and it was TOS and TAS. And now even CBS and Pocket Books use "The Original Series" in their marketing.

Again, why are people assuming I'm looking for an acronym? I'm looking for an actual name. The shorthand would be easy enough to derive afterward, and is thus an incidental concern.

Members have spent over 100 posts debating the meaning of the term "nu", but it's my fault? Did you not see the grinning devil, indicating that I was joking? Fans with a sense of humour are the reason Star Trek has a stigma?
