What do you really hate shopping for?

Fluorescent lighting brings out every pimple, blemish, abscess, mole, skin tag, etc. you've had since you were 12.

Bras. It is difficult to find good ones, even if you are OK with spending a considerable amount of money.

I don't like any shopping, but shopping for clothes is definitely the worst. Especially now that I'm a middle-aged fat female, I absolutely detest trying things on. Why do stores insist on strip lights in the changing rooms? Those are guaranteed to emphasize every varicose vein and cellulite bump, not a pretty sight! So shopping for clothes always makes me feel bad about myself, reason enough to hate it.

Luckily I can wear anything at work, as long as my clothes are clean and not too scruffy, since I'm not in contact with customers.

Right? You'd think they'd put soft romantic lighting, and maybe the funhouse mirror that makes you look thinner, so they'd sell more!

Yeah, instead the mirrors in changing rooms just scream OH HAI HERE IZ UR FAT ROLLZ AN' CELLULITE LOL at me. Real morale boosting.

Presents. I'm just crap at getting people gifts.
This. Mostly because I am so completely self-absorbed I have no idea what people like and dislike. Ok, not quite, but close.

I am very particular about what I buy, and I hate getting presents because I know I should be grateful but at the same time I cannot help but think I would have made a much better choice, and spending half of the money. (Yeah, I'm a bitch. ) I cannot help but assume most people feel the same, and feel completely self-conscious when I buy stuff for people.

I love shopping for clothes, but sometimes it can be a pain in the arse as I am tall as a hobbit and finding something that fits can be a hassle. Tailored suits and shirts are much more convenient, but expensive as hell.

On the other hand, I love shopping for houses, furniture, tiles, and the likes. When I bought my current condo we did a lot of renovations, and I enjoyed the whole deal very much.

Unless somebody tells me exactly what gift they want, I buy gift cards for everybody on my list. No questions asked. Let them get their own smegging gifts. I have no idea what they want (unless they tell me), so why should I risk getting them a shitty gift?

I loathe shopping for trousers.
You have to get out of your shoes and trousers, try a few badly fitting ones in a completely overheated and stuffy shop, have to get dressed again, grab your bags and coat, search for different trousers, get undressed again and so on. After half an hour you're soaked to your skin, your shoelaces are knotted beyond hope, your nerves are frayed and you still haven't found one pair that might fit with a few minor alterations.
I mend and patch my trousers until they literally fall off me before I undergo that ordeal

I hate shopping for clothes. I am 33 years old with the body of a frigging 9 year old boy, so it's a pain to find much that looks GOOD on me. I don't care much unless I'm shopping for dressy clothes that look, you know, ADULT.

On an average day I wear nerdy graphic Tshirts(for boys, since THEY get all the cool Transformers shirts :P) and sweat pants, oversized sweatshirts and sweat pants in the winter and some generic sleeveless tops and shorts if it's hot out.

The joys of being short with a short waist, long legs and being scarily thin! NOT!!!

I hate shopping for everything, but I particularly avoid anything that requires getting help to buy. Aka shoes. My sneakers are 2.5 years old and completely broken down and my work shoes soles mostly fell off back in February. I have not replaced either. I've never had to car shop yet, but I'm dreading it.

Glasses.

I have to really work to find a colour/style that suits my face...then I find out that this style won't work with my new prescription for progressive lenses. OK. Go through it all again, find a style that will work...then find out there is no way I can afford them.

Sad sigh.

I suspect if you go into a lot of clothes stores if you are outside of what is considered average size be it you're short or tall. You can have difficulty.
